Coolness of the melons
flecked with mud
    in the morning dew.

She is sixty. She lives
the greatest love of her life.

She walks arm-in-arm with her dear one,
her hair streams in the wind.
Her dear one says:
“You have hair like pearls.”

Her children say:
“Old fool.”
THE moon upon the wide sea
Placidly looks down,
Smiling with her mild face,
Though the ocean frown.
Clouds may dim her brightness,
But soon they pass away,
And she shines out, unaltered,
O'er the little waves at play.
So 'mid the storm or sunshine,
Wherever she may go,
Led on by her hidden power
The wild see must plow.

As the tranquil evening moon
Looks on that restless sea,
So a mother's gentle face,
Little child, is watching thee.
Then banish every tempest,
Chase all your clouds away,
That smoothly and brightly
Your quiet heart may play.
Let cheerful looks and actions
Like shining ripples flow,
Following the mother's voice,
Singing as they go.
I slap my thoughts down on this pad with pen, trying to make it through this life of sin.
Clearing my head with each word that flows, down to hell surely my soul will go.
Your presence lingers as each day goes by, I can't seem to keep you out of my mind.
Your eyes are gorgeous  as the bright blue sky, each look up and I remember why.
Teasing lips on a tender face, tongues touch and I forget my place.
Smooth neck of ivory skin, each breath comes, deep from within.
I'll keep the remaining thoughts to myself, cause when this is all over, that's all I'll have left.

You will not tame this sea
either by humility or rapture.
But you can laugh
in its face.

Laughter
was invented by those
who live briefly
as a burst of laughter.

The eternal sea
will never learn to laugh.

She wears that dress
and glides across the light green pitch
The lake in the distance
glowing from the moon in the sky
Melting together as one
That's when i truly feel right
Yet her face is set heavy
and her words a bitter bite
So my words
they are lifting
As to bring her face from the darkness
To let her smile light up the night
She leads me to places
of which i wish to go
Through deserts of sand
And plains of snow
To tops of mountains so high
Through rivers so wide
Just take me there
my beautiful indian guide

I dreamt that I'd tell you,
  I dreamt I'd convince you.
I dreamt you would love me
and I too would love you.
I dreamt of perfection,
a dream so romantic.
I dreamt you would smile
and carefully panic.
I dreamt you would hug me.
I dreamt we would both see,
together we're better -
  I dreamt you weren't choosy.
I dreamt up the ways
of how I could tell you.
I dreamt up bouquets
and a time and place too.
I dreamt that I told you.
I dreamt that I could do.
I dreamt that it happened.
  I dreamt of a breakthrough.

instead i told you
at 3am   drunk   on facebook
*and i took it back the next morning
The pain hurts less than regret.
