There is an unmistakable ebb and flow to life
Peaks and valleys -- characterized by prosperity, stagnation, and sorrow
Love is the equalizing force, tethering you to the centerfold
A sensation so great, that even the mystique of its’ promise can’t overshadow the euphoria of its reality
But, the naive man realized rapture requires reciprocity
There is no equity in unrequited love
Only strife
The Deuce. If possible, I'd love feedback. I'm not really a poet, but I'd like to hear what actual poetry-fiends think.
