When I take glances at my reflections
Or when I contemplate before I sleep,
I start to ask myself haunting questions.
I avoid them otherwise I'll drown deep.

It hurts that no matter how much I try,
It keeps me awake and away from peace
But just like moments, I let them pass by
To keep myself alive and make them cease.

I don't want loathe and grief to consume me,
I don't want to revolve around these thoughts.
This is not the person I want to be
So I have to take what my heart allots.

You don't have to drown yourself in sadness,
Remind yourself the bliss of happiness.
