I'm having an attack
and I don't know who to
call.
I don't know if I'll
ever break down
these walls of
social insecurity.
"Who would want to listen to me?"
Listen to me ramble,
and scramble for
footholds.
Watch me fold in
on myself,
shelfing mentally the
moment
the date
the weight of this
particular distress.

Give me a minute,
I'll just compress it.

Target 1: learn to admit
when you need help.
From far, far away
They come to sit and stay

They gather and witness
New ****** spirits of greatness

Who trek new paths
Through the unknown

The Future
They come to witness, touch, and experience the Future
Like we go to see a movie

For them, it's a delight of vision
To see the connections

We spirits here
Connect with the Gods there

Through true greatness

Enormous beings of tremendous proportions
Full of laughter, greatness, and brilliance

A season is but a blink of an eye to them
A lifetime is just breakfast

Full of higher thoughts, unknown to us
which float through distant paths unseen

Only their magic dust can we sense
Their walking to and fro

Concerned with mortals and their ideals
They say it would somehow stop,
They said I'm not the only one,
Who's living this nightmare,
Day after day,
Getting taunted in this hallway,
The things that have been said,
All get to my head,
Millions get bullied but how does this topic become so taboo,
It still hasn't hit us, it's so hard to get through.
It's not much of a game when you know someone's getting hurt.
So put down the hate and pick up the hope,
Help these kids in school cope.
*Stand up and join the fight to stop bullying once and for all.
"Patience," flapped the Butterfly's wings
"Patience," said Thomas Edison
"Patience," said Abraham Lincoln
"Patience," said the Diamond's sparkle
"Patience," said the Pearl's smoothness
"Patience," said Columbus' sailors
"Patience," the monks prayed
"Patience," the Mountains yawned
"Patience," Maturity recollected
"Patience," Healing nodded
"Patience," Insight demanded!
"Patience," winked the stars of the Milky Way
Each note reminds
Of a place back in time

Laughter, light, carefree peace
Enlighten my mind with each beautiful melody

Piano memories
separated by decades
Connected by a note
Shame falls like rain
Spilling over my lips
Mud in my clothes
Blood in my eyes
Burning my cheeks
As it falls

Rocks of disappointment
Shattering as they fall
On my downcast shoulders
Straining against the weight
Of others' expectations

Dreams escape their chains
Turning to nightmares of
****, death, and violence.

Wishing for razor blades
More and more
Drawing lines across corners
Representing potential cuts.
First poem I've written in treatment.  I hate it here.
