Love Lied
 Nov 2010 Angie
Ray
You told me don't and I shrugged you off
You said don't sew you're life together
I nodded, yet stitched my way along
Through the years, I thought they were strong.

You said it ends, I said love prevails
You warned, before he came around
The stitches slowly tore apart
Leaving its fatal scars.

Now I know
Love lied.

Dear father time, it's only me,
I've come to ask a favour,
Could you please hurry time along?,
I yearn to see my lover,
We speak so seldom, this past while,
I fear he'll somehow tire of me,
His sentiments are getting scarce,
I pray someday he'll marry me,
So, if you please, i need your help,
Please hurry time along,
I promise i'll cherish every moment,
From that first moment on....

Close your eyes
and imagine a kiss
filled with longing
and passionate bliss
Feel my hands
about your waist
see if you can
my yearning taste
And as intensity
starts to grow
Hold me tight
don't let me go
Pull me closer
to your breast
see if this dream
will pass the test
If pulse has quickened
and cheeks have flushed
then follow this dream
to me you must.

I know and treasure the love you hold for me
And my heart beats back to yours
How thrilling to peruse the pages of ecstasy
That your heart writes
And mine adores

I read living lines that pierce my waking heart
Upon each lovely page I see
Each word justly claims myself to be a part
Of you
As you are, of me

Because I know you love me unquestionably
And my heart beats back to yours
I continue reading these lines with glee
That your heart writes
And mine adores

Such powerful writing a heart can display
When a heart beats back in return
How thrilling to peruse these pages each day
Watch love growing
As they turn

In the back of her mind’s eye, she carries visions
Of ancient times she never met
Filling her day’s with riveting memories
She cannot possibly ever forget

Vividly remembering spectacular scenes of a past
She knows could not be her own
Still, feeling a part of worlds long gone from time
So familiar and yet unknown

She recalls days wandering the Isle of Rhodes
Admiring the pink hibiscus flowers
Until the Persians invaded her beautiful home
Locking her away in their towers

Blushing in sweet bliss, she remembers her Ares
Her soul mate and only desire
Nights of sweet kisses and stolen hours
By the glow of a hidden fire

In the back of her mind’s eye, she holds these visions
Wondering always, why they are there
Feeling a part of worlds long gone from time
Knowing she does not belong here

Magical notes of enchanting music she joyfully painted
Into the emptiest skies of darkest gray
Skillfully setting afire the darkness above her
With the beautiful songs she played

Sheets of ivory linen filled with enchanted notes
Sprang to life in gentle winds
As she played her lovely songs that night
Over and over again

Sparkling radiance quickly bounded in ecstatic joy
Becoming the twinkling stars array
Proudly gleaming all their brilliant happiness
Throughout the darkest skies of gray

Soon the darkest skies filled with radiant stars
Were captured in light years away
Listening to magical notes, she had skillfully painted
Into the emptiest skies of darkest gray

The spider, dropping down from twig,
Unfolds a plan of her devising,
A thin premeditated rig
To use in rising.

And all that journey down through space,
In cool descent and loyal hearted,
She spins a ladder to the place
From where she started.

Thus I, gone forth as spiders do
In spider's web a truth discerning,
Attach one silken thread to you
For my returning.

Tears
and rain,
sit upon
my eyelashes.
One shows my pain, one washes it away.

The grey clouds are one with my breaking heart.
Shedding their pain
in tune with
my souls
cry

To
accept
that Grandma
is leaving me,
is easier to say than to live through.

Each slowing beat of her heart pierces me.
My second mom,
my best friend,
dying
now.

Her
grace and
wisdom will
stay with me still.
I am, today, the woman she molded.

Touching so many, giving of herself.
Angel on earth,
soon to be
going
home.
