I dream only beautiful nightmares where black flowers ******

With the arrival of always and grow everywhere

Lifting aloft their jet colored leaves to a blue and purple sun

Which leaves me fraught with glorious purpose

Still I am nothing much, just something different

The trees are withered,
The ground now bare,
The world has lost it’s color;
It is what is not there,
It’s gone with all the others.

For it to be,
What it is not,
It mustn’t fade away;
It is what is besought,
It is not time nor day.

In endless time,
Without intent,
In search of this mysterious sight;
With or without consent,
It is written in black and white.

The rules are broken,
Words unheard,
Tears still flow in silence;
It is what is not absurd,
It is without defiance.

It is all that,
Determines all,
It cannot be controlled;
It is and will never fall,
It is what is resoled.

In the end,
It doesn’t rest,
It just begun it’s game;
In you’re life there is a test,
And that test is called, Fate.

There are two worlds where one cannot escape
They’re captivating just like illusions.
They disorient one as they take shape,
They seize your mind through subtle intrusions.

In one world your reality grows numb,
Your sanity dies as light expires.
Your fear emerges as the monsters come.
To wreak havoc is a Nightmare’s desire.

In another, faeries dance with the stars;
They welcome you like the moon does the night.
This mystical dreamland is quite bizarre,
Where magical creatures are drunk with delight.

Nightmares consume the dreamer’s sanity,
Daydreams conceive the dreamer’s fantasy.
Many stories are written
Only some are true
But from my lips come truthfulness
As I share my dreams with you.

I have been through many trialed times
As my lovers love and then leave
Too many tears have fallen
Too many to ever conceive.

Then came the day
When love bestowed
A heart so warm and kind
The heart that I've been looking for
Yet never thought I'd find.

And now that it's been found, my dear
I'm  never letting go
I've lots of love inside of me
And to only you I'll show.

But be careful of my naive heart
For it breaks so very easy
I only ask for love and trust
It don't take much to please me.

My dreams have finally happened
My dreams have finally come true
I've found a place called paradise
When I found the one called you.

I'll always know you as I did in Rome
As lovers often do
In each other we made our homes
How quickly our love grew

You eyes were bright, so was your mind
As we laid on Roman earth
Your hair was soft, your face was kind
Kissed by Mediterranean surf

As I held them all, how big I grinned
I'd never held anything so tight
We smiled, we danced, we laughed, we sinned
Under a perfectly sleepy night

We packed our bags without a frown
Hands clasped, we flew through the air
God, they must have weighed three thousand pounds
Still, it was not much for us to bear

Soon we returned to the commonplace
Each day a xerox of the last
The days we'd stare for hours face-to-face
Had now become the past

We'd come home from work, tired and weary
A clatter of keys replaced our secret knock
Tales of co-workers are endlessly dreary
Dear, tonight I'm too tired to talk

All that would grow was the foreboding quiet
Holding, I felt you resist
As I quit smoking and you on your diet
Made only muttered words and clenched fists

Soon anything would have us screaming at each other
We'd release the anger from our hearts
Rivers for eyes, you'd call up your mother
And we'd endure cold, cold nights spent apart

Now I find you hanging from the ceiling
You found the packed bags; you thought you knew
Tears and hurt and my mind reeling
Oh dear, I was going with you

I quietly burn with what's left of my home
But the flames can't hurt if I hold you
On the bed burn two tickets to Rome
Oh dear, I was going with you

I'll always know you as I did in Rome
The way lovers seem to do
Amidst the arches and the catacombs
How quickly our love grew
