Come walk with me tonight, my dear
The moon and stars shine bright and clear
Matching the radiance you emit
To others all is dimly lit
For they can't see your face.

Through the air silent dreams do drift
The wordless void is but a gift
That keeps me longing for your voice,
By your side with humble rejoice,
In this moment with you.
I wrote this three years ago, and just found it again. A bit has been changed from the original poem, and there's always room to improve.

Let Go

Sometimes, I just wish that I could forget who I am
Throw away who I'm supposed to be
I want to take for granted all the little things
Let my cares fly in the wind
I want to jump off this edge
Not bothering to check what is waiting for me at the bottom
Maybe I'll make it
Maybe I just don't care
Who knows what the future has in store
Nothing in this life is concrete
Nothing can be carved in stone

Denial

Denial is a thing with such power.
Silence, movement; then it devours you.
I cannot see you now.
I cannot smell your skin
nor kiss you
nor love you
And yet
In my memory I will do all of these things.
Sweet torture, sweet torture
The swansong sings.
I must leave my life behind
The parents, the others, the I people I know,
But where will you be, my darling?
What will you do when I cry for you?
You cannot hear me across the tides.

I love you.

I pray you hear it in your memory.
My voice will whisper it in my sleep.
Maybe the wind will carry it on my dreams
to yours.
Hear me. Please, God. Don't forget me.

I'd rather have the nightmares
I'd rather have the worst of dreams
Where demons dance through every thought
And adorn the sickest scenes

For the feeling of these silken sheets
Now fills me up with fear
'Cause I know that when I open my eyes
I still won't find you here

When you feel you've laughed enough
Laugh more.
When you feel you've done enough
Do more.
When you feel you've loved enough
Love more.
When you feel you've had enough
Live more.

Dream...

You were in my dream last night
Woke up not feeling so right
Woke up feeling like I had died
Wishing I had never cried

Thinking someone must have lied

Closed my eyes again in despair
Knowing this whole thing wasn’t fair
Wishing time could repeat itself
This time with me being my own self

You ask what my dream was about
All I tell you is it was full of doubt…
I say I was hurt and put to death
With you taking away my last breath!

I wish I could fix your broken heart my dear friend.
I wish I could put the pieces of you back together.
I wish that I could make your tears stop flowing.

But all I can do is hold you while you break.
I cannot fix you,
but I can hold you together until you're ready
to put back in place the pieces of yourself that are broken.

I canot take away your tears.
But in your own sweet time dear friend,
when your eyes dry, and you can see clearly again,
I will show you the world awaiting your presence.

You are broken for now, my beautiful friend, but you are not alone.
