A life of innocence and shattered dreams.
Of a broken heart and sorrowful screams.
Of knowing his father's head is not right.
Of unadulterated hatred surviving the night.

A room full of tension, masked with a cloud of smoke.
Of a child, bruised and beaten for laughing and making a joke.
Of sullen faces , never free from crying eyes.
Of a hopeful mother, pleading and praying to the skies.

A city full of grudges and insurmountable mistakes.
Of naive youths who choose the wrong fate.
Of innumerable addicts, indulging to escape.
Of a child's fragile mind, left there battered and *****.

A teen, full of potential
Striving for the best.
Who worked so long
And fought so hard
With no opportunity for rest.

Who faked being happy
And smiled through the pain.
Who remained cool and collected
While on the brink of going insane.

A man who never took initiative
And lives with unfulfilled dreams.
Who finally comes to realize
The world is never what it seems.

Who once had such aspirations
And sought to stand straight and tall.
Who looks back on his mundane life
And his mind begins to fall.

A man full of hatred
And violent despair.
Who never experienced love.
It simply wasn't there.

Who watched as years went by,
Contemplating life he was appalled.
Who never amounted to anything.
He won't be remembered at all.
Sudden, profound realization of the simplistic complexity of the world.  Understanding and comprehending the universe as a whole.  Timeless, ageless, and chaotic.  Every minute piece of reality succinctly interlocking and fitting perfectly in order to continue this insane concoction of life.  This duality of horror and bliss.

Those who have not been born yet and those who are no longer with us, please guide me through this labyrinth of indecision.  Save me from this monster I call myself.

Human beings are the terminal disease of the universe.  Vast consumption with disregard to replenishment.
I had a dream last night
About the outcome that
Could have been.

I saw the wonder and
Sheer beauty
That we ruined with sin.

Now bound to sadness
Forever.
Unable to rid myself of
Despair.

Longing for the truth
And meaning of life
We had the opportunity
To share.

Never ending sorrow.
A wound unable to heal.
Punished for eternity.
Happiness forbade to feel.

Deserving of such ramifications.
Punishment won't relieve this crime.
Forever lost in a sea of madness.
Will you forgive me when it's time?

I saw the face of a little girl.
A dream that felt so alive.

I saw the vanishing of
A dream come true.
The possibilities I've deprived.
Good and evil
Lie side by side,

And in between
Is where we hide.

In the shallows,
We dare not confide.

We turn to evil
Look death in the eyes,

And with a flash of brilliance
We see good in our lives.
It is not until you've experienced evil can you appreciate good.
Grab my hand.  Grip it tightly and hold it firmly to your chest.  Treasure the few fleeting moments we have left to share together, for it will not be long until I abscond into the surreal and leave you here with only remnants of my whispers.  Exploding, lighting the night skies across all that is seen and unseen.  Immortality awaits.  I hear my name being called upon a distant shore.  They cry for me.  They bid me to relieve myself of the horrors of the known universe.  Happiness awaits the ones who remained true to the word.  Loyalty and sacrifice have given the key to the unknown.  Exploration of limitless desire.
Murderous intent
Glaring upon the
Dreams of power.

Insidious hatred
Gazing upon the
Lovely flower.

Wild evils sewn blankets
Over our eyes.
Masked self perception.
Hatred spewing from their lies.

They understand not
Why they fight.
Such tenacity,
Souls pierced.

They know not
Why they love.
So violent and
So fierce.
You can knock as much as you like on the coffin lid at night, when the dead awaken and the spirits arise, yet your screams will remain unheard and your pleas unanswered.  Speak your heart and let it resound true in the moment, lest your desires remain unheard in eternity.
