May my day be
a pleasant one
a gathering of
fond memories
stories for me
to tell
May my
audience
embrace my
joyfulness
reverberating
laughter
filling open
spaces
knowing effort
was made
to create the
metaphor that
was
a day lived
a story to tell.

Music is a life
lived
songs are dreams
still
to be
realised
Music is diverse
the people
its
melodies
Music and life
a duet
that thrives
within an
environment
of
harmonious
rhapsody

I await the
night
weary from
the exertion
of the day
waiting for
the ramp to
lower my tired
skeleton
onto the reason
for my fear.

I watch as
the light dims
all is quiet
just the sound
of my bated
breath
a night of
torment ahead
no sleep is
forthcoming
waiting for the
night to deliver
me into day.

In a crowd not standing out

doing up pumps ready for the fray

dancing like a swan on a lake

hearing applause making the day.

no more, just placid memories

blood percolates from ragged pumps

practice, practice, a childhood lost

the last pirouette, was it worth the cost.

Did this last night after seeing a painting of a ballerina painted by my friend Anke Wheeler

Life's
journey
is
a
time
zone
full
of
memories
upon
reflection
they
can
make
you
smile
or
make
you
cry
one
thing
is
certain
it
is
singular
to
you!

The structure of this one was to highlight the singular aspect of the piece.

When you hear nothing
only
the sound of your
own breath
then,
you have found an
inner peace
that
encapsulates your soul
moving
you
into a state
of
peaceful tranquillity.

I have a restless
mind
and live
on the edge,
I often free fall
into a
dark recess
or
bounce around
on
the ceiling
making
no sense.

It makes me human
after all
I am not perfect
who is
I will not hide
from
myself
or take
my own life
I have a restless
mind living on
the edge
that' s all.
