Is this thing on?
Andrew Tinkham Apr 2015
A man came up to me leaving the bus station and asked if I could spare a few dollars for a meal. I guess He wasn't afraid of my black eye. I reached in my pocket and felt stingey. I pulled out a one and said, "I got a dollar for a Red Wings win." "Alright", he sighed.

Power laughed at me and said, "Is that all you've got?"
It wasn't.
Divine justice would seem to me to be saying, here: you were left with two dollars after the Red Wings' two-nothing loss in Game 7. The man asked for a few bucks and you didn't even look him in the eye. Other things on your mind? Sure. But take this lesson to heart. Never forget the weak, until every last one is strong.

Like a hamster wheel, my love, ascending to stay in place.
Like a runner without a race, anymore, now that it's won.

Leave me.
Don't look back.
You can't come back.

She is gone.
Thank God.
Alienated at last.
Sweet, sweet...

Alienation
