its a catch the ferry day tomorrow
I go out from my island fortress
into the sea for a forty minute cruise
onto the  main isle which used to be
called "Isle Of Horses" by Vikings
so much poetry was lost by us who
now belong to Scotland when
Norway's tongues left these Isles

I do not know anything
but I believe
much things

and yes its true

when folk stop believing in God;
they do not believe in nothing;
they believe in anything

The children idle through
Daffodils and meadows
Strewn and
Bloom together
In our islands soil
Sun kissed and
Sea swept
Into the tides
of their todays
and tomorrows.

had lots of practise

Rubies set in feathers
Rock Doves search
my windows.
They cannot see me.

So feast eagerly
on seed
their shy friend
set out for them.

a common criminals death
Crucified
.
And we pray to die a good death
He will not bestow
what cannot be endured

I have been befriended by a fragile life
a little feathered weight moth
no bigger than my smallest finger-
nail been flying around me-
and landing on me for days now-
cannot have much time left-
and me unworthy his only friend -
it will be down to me to dispose of his lifeless body

searching shadow made-
its way over the horizon
great sundial of the sun
swept all before and after-
sunup and sundown
sundial on the wrist
Mankind slicing to pieces
the day before the stars-
of black night take over
