Pillars of salt
Stretched across
A navy blanket
Makes me start
To smile and reflect
On how just yesterday
I would feel alone
And without friends.
Then one day,
Out of nowhere
Appeared your boring avatar,
Revealing a world
Of limitless humor,
Wisdom, and fun,
And however silly this is,
When I look at that
Blanket of sand,
And catch myself smiling,
In your far away land,
I'll hope you're
Thinking of me.
For my friend.

Pick a rose.
If the thorn ******,
That doesn't mean
You no longer love roses.

If there's any spark between us,
I wouldn't know.
If you have any affection to show me,
Let it show.
Because you asked for me,
And I wanted you,
I'm grasping on,
What do I do?
Your weight increases,
Your grip decreases.
One of us will fall,
And it's not very clear
Which will lose it all.
Though I'll let go knowing
I held on 'til the end.
If I fall, I'll ascend.
Though I'm betting
I'm on the other end.

And so the grip weakens.

Here's wishing you a brighter blue
In hopes it brightens your tomorrows,
With a little less angry red
Which only brings about more sorrow.

White to keep you pure,
In your heart and in your thoughts.
Your Royal purple keeping you noble,
Regardless of the jewels you bought.

Green with envy, don't you see
You are everything you're meant to be.
Someday you'll be grey and wise
And live at last without chastise.

Leaving yellow in your fearful wake.
On life's battlefield mistakes are made,
While pink brings about a calming peace.
What colors can be drawn from these?

In the coolness of the evening
Beside a glowing Sapphire Stream
Slept a nest of fairies
In the midst of fairy dreams.

The night breeds dreams in the village
Brought with the fairies' enchanting dust.
Now they make the flowers their bedding.
Exhausted and spent, but fairies do what fairies must.

When the first light of day filters through the trees
You can hear the beginnings of an enchanting tune,
As the fairies wake and spread their wings
Bringing on their morning new.

They pollinate the stamens, dance around the stems.
They giggle and play in the most dazzling way,
Fluttering through the flowers and ferns,
Hidden in the deepness of woods in private display.

In the very center of the forest
Stands a clearing void of trees.
The epicenter of forever after;
The High Court of the Fairy Queen.

The Queen showers the Fairy Kingdom
With magic to make them only appear
To those who believe in mystery,
To those who choose to hear.

I found myself a dying sun,
I lay ashore, all mem'ries gone,
Beneath a sky of crimson clay,
Where every world spends its last day.

The dusty sand beneath my form
I used to love looks so forlorn.
The waves crash down with energy
They do not wish to share with me.

I am tired of it all,
Sick to death, I take the fall.
Down to the void, abyss,
Without parting glass or kiss.

You will not find me here tomorrow,
I have drowned myself in sorrow.
The bleakest darkness of my past
Swells in the distance like a mast.

I shall not perish, all the same.
Your world is evil and insane,
Yet I shall rise again at last
While you'll be buried in the past.

I stepped onto the path of Never Ever
In the thicket of Could Have Been.
Lost the moment I entered
With no guide to lend a hand.

I pass the whispering willows
That tells tales of moments gone past.
I lay down to rest my head
In the Don't You Say That grass.

I wake up to the memory
Of what used to be,
As bright colors form around me
Enlightening what I need to see.

I remember childhood's sweetness,
And the harshness of love and loss.
I wonder how it brought me to where I am
Laying amongst the trees, succumbed by thoughts.

The thoughts of my tomorrows
And memories yet to come
As I make my way down this never ever pathway
I find myself always on.
