Steady
Amber Moons Jun 2014
Music's played by the rain

In my little room I listen

My silence sings the words

Heart rings like sad chords

There's a ghost in space

A phantom of your pretty face

I turn to draw your smile in the air

My clandestine master piece

The sun will swallow the night soon

No time will cease to move on

But I stay undisturbed in this corner

Right where you fill my thoughts forever

Dormant Tears
Amber Moons Jan 2014
For a moment I see my reflection in the dark glass

I'm trapped in fog, my mind's murky

With pieces of disconcerting thoughts

Lost and wandering in thin air

Caught in the middle of empty space

Sadness sends a company

Telling me same bad news

How unfortunate these dreams are

How ridiculous these feelings now

Censuring my own beliefs

Laughing at these wondrous desires

But as my time does breathe

And as my footsteps recognize their paths

You'll picture my stoic face

My head will point to the sky

Here you can't break me

Nothing in my mask will sag

I will not cry until you tell me

I'm hopeless

Too Beautiful. Too Sad
Amber Moons Nov 2013
I see you as a beacon
The billowing light in the horizon
Blinking a few, trying to look askew
A fool in pretense; if I only I already knew
How fast it could run,how wide I could stride
I'm all attuned, nowhere to hide
No stopping in motion
Emotion protests the reason:
You're a flower in a day
The sweet grace from heaven to stay
Kissed by the gentle sun
A morning scene to stun
I bask in delight
But my heart recognizes the plight
So I'll leave you to the sky
As I'm the futile weeds to dry
I've got a sad window
To watch the night with my shadow
I lace my thoughts around a star
Too beautiful but too far
Just where you are

Moon Hush
Amber Moons Nov 2013
Nothing is as beautiful
--for a sentimental fool--
as a taciturn night,
with a golden spotlight
Plastered in the sky,
not leaving me high and dry
Undisturbed, grand but alone
like my heart in this sad tune,
which I repeat and restore,
rhythmically shaking my core
Then I began to whimper,
by these invisible tears
no one could ever decipher
Since I refuse to give anyone a key
I dread that they may see
So I send it to the moon;
a whisper that may reach you soon:
"Loneliness is lovely
when you're the kind of lonely"

Help
Amber Moons Sep 2013
I would like to walk a mile
With heavy feet and a broken smile
It's fine to pretend, it's alright to hide
But I badly need to confide
Exhaustion is already lethargic
There's no use being apathetic
I would wish for the worldly attention
Hear my plea and listen to my affliction
I'm a bird without a flight
Demons keep stealing my placid night
My bones are papers in water
The torment in my soul is a horrendous vapor
Perhaps if I close these eyes now
Doomed heart may begin to cow
As painful meditation insist to hover
No tomorrow could come over
Should I see the sun?
Or should I be gone?

Only Sometimes
Amber Moons Sep 2013
Sometimes it's near, sometimes it's distant

Sometimes it's real, sometime's it's faked

Sometimes there's bliss, sometimes there's grief

Sometimes there are signs, sometimes there are assumptions

Sometimes I'm shaken, sometimes I'm stupefied

sometime's I'm exuberant , sometimes I'm rigid

Sometimes I'm relentless, sometimes I'm restrained

Sometimes I believe, sometimes I doubt

Sometimes I stay, sometimes I run

Sometimes I reach, sometimes I flinch

Sometimes it's cosmic, sometimes it's unconventional

Sometimes it's vivid, sometimes it's vague

Sometimes it's white, sometimes it's black

Sometimes it's love, sometimes it's fantasy

Sometimes there's paradise, sometimes there's tragedy

Sometimes I'm certain, sometimes I'm anxious

Sometimes I fall in love, sometimes I fear love

Sometimes it's a dream, sometimes it only remains a dream

Sometimes is sometimes,

If only sometimes I can't feel

In The Eyes of Rain
Amber Moons Sep 2013
Stolen by the rigor of minute
Cold and frozen soul
Never been so complacent and whole
Gust of the wind does whisper
Shaking this dormant emotion
Sleeping in such memory of tribulation
Like painstaking stitches
My frail hands bled to fasten
Instantly unraveling every now and then

A drizzle of photographs
Composing echoes of the thunder
Prodding what I can only remember
Sternly lashing my placid sanity
Boosted with awakened pain
In lieu of this incessant rain
Confined in the lingering  loneliness
The stillness of a harbored trauma
Breaking my feigned amnesia

Of the heart unrequited in time
Lost its hope through exchanging seasons
Served with no fair reasons.

Of the person I glorified in me
Bringing the stars that shone my halo
Now gone and paid a woe
