Left in the spotlight
I find what is mine.
Wipe the slate with silver ties
Ill shine in the holy memories.
Why did you go away?
…go away…?

A phoenix heart.
Rising from the ashes of my own destruction,
I find the world paved in new.
Radiant pyre of sparks and flames,
Old worn book of thoughts and names.
This is overdue.

Left in the spotlight
I take what is mine.
Wipe the slate with silver lies
Ill shine in the shallow memories.
Why did you go away?
Go away.

A resurrection.
Rising from the dead with a desire for flesh,
I see the world, a change of view.
A thoughtless being of self-satisfaction,
A nomad, a chemical reaction.
This is overdue.

i see shards of gold
and they see me.
iridescent flecks of sight.
a reverie dances in the night....

Comparable to the lions
a heart that sets the world on fire;
Brighter than the sun.

A busy bee
with restless dreams
and metallic beams that hold them together.
Swimming in your mind
you see yourself in the heart of destruction
trying to find a way back to a home that isn’t there.
Cutting roots and ties that bind you
A golden path follows close behind you.

The fire that began is burning you alive
yet you refuse to let it die
fan the flames
a warmth that healed the broke and cold with all that it could.
embers burn the places you have stood
pages turned to dust
still building castles from the rust.

One that faced the pain of circumstance
what you became-
as sweet as honey.

a golden heart beats
the flower that sprung from concrete.
