I can hear the soft cackling of budding puddles
Water on Water
Violence.

I lay back and rest my head
Soothed by memories of mornings when I had little to do but sleep, with the
Sound of shuddering old pipes
of the second story of the house,
Rushing liquid scalding
as it washed the dreams of my parents
away.
They would dress as I lay loosely aware of
drawers scraping shut.
The pull I feel from your body to mine
Your crooked smile sending chills down my spine
The sparkle, it’s rare, but it’s there I see
In your eye, catching light, when you look at me
The world you seek may not be hard to find
Forget your thoughts and just open your mind
The possibilities that will unfold
Begin your life, you are free of the mold
You know where to find me, down by the sea
The sparkle is something I’d like to see.
We’ll sit on the rocks, waves crashing beneath
No words spoken, we will sit and just breathe.
Take in all the sounds and scents of the waves
We are free from worry, no longer slaves
Free to love, to relax, to seize the day.
Open your heart to the words that I say.
I'm awake wanting to be sleeping,
so I can be dreaming about you.
dangled mess
tangled loosely over sand paper
scraping up
carving out all the self-hatred

no success
torn dress, blood stained on knobby knees
good god,
help god - you're way too attractive now
take a breath
there's no death for a girl like you

just press on starving
i can't just sit anymore
let my sight roll over the window pane
and the silence of the bears roar in my ears
without obnoxious pink clouds fuzzing everything

i itch to be more
tight legs, tight arms, tight mind
but everything is too loose and bunched
in the least aesthetically pleasing way
so i treat myself to another bowl
of honey nut cheerios

and propel myself further into the trap that is my mind
i’ll stretch my arms as far as they can reach

and hope that i am forever yours to keep

cause no matter how far apart,

i carry you always in my heart

for distance is only a word

and a mile only a measure
It wraps around my heart.
Like vines.
Like rope.
Like grasping fingers.

I can't do this anymore.
Suffocating.
Choking.
Dying.

I need the relief.
A breath.
A sigh.
A smile.

I need to escape.
I live in a small town in Cornwall and I've always felt suffocated here.
We can begin with you,
And ask, is it too much to hope?
Why, when we yearn for peace,
Can we not have a Kingdom Of Mankind?
Must the squabbles, some, millennia old,
Permanently persist, from century to century?
Will the warmongers never tire?
Never cease their enduring need to ****?
Is an ideal, a belief, or a cause,
Worth the taking of life: any life?
Must men, women, and even children,
Suffer for a difference of opinion?
The world has to change; must change!
Sense and sensibility, must prevail!
Please, reach out, make a difference,
We can begin with you.
