The Ocean
Beautiful
Peaceful
On the surface
But
Underneath
Cold
Dark

Her bare feet meet the tide running up to her
The burning words
from them stuck in her head
Telling her she wasn't worth it
Her head now submerged
Silence filled the empty space around her
And then it was black.

To lose someone close to you is hard enough
But losing the love of your life
That's tragic

She never knew what happened
Never said good-bye
Never imagined this
It was like a book with no conclusion

Hearing the words
Not knowing how to react
Time frozen
for a split second
Then the tears fall

The emptiness now in her soul
No room for happiness
Now feeling all alone

The feeling of shock
through out her body
Her daughter too
Sitting there at the police station
Knowing that her husband is now gone.

Silently watching over the sleeping village
he works
inspired by the dreaming villagers
he is motivated
to tinker
to invent
all he wants is the joy
and wonderment from them
he got what he wanted
he lives of it

But that's not enough
hunger building inside
he needs real food
meat

When the hunger is unbearable
he lurks through the shadows
he takes the villagers
one by one
eating them
then moving on
to repeat the process
for an eternity

He is a monster
he always will be
nothing can change that

His ruthless, brutal way
leaving a path of destruction behind
God save those who interfere

Fighting,
grasping,
pushing away the pain,
breathing heavily,
sobbing,
make it go away,
the tears stream down my face,
clogging up my brain,
I can't get out,
I'm forever stuck inside this dark and empty drain.

Life;
1 amazing family
A handful of loyal friends
Tons of love
A pinch of devotion
Multiple cups of happiness

Lightly tug your tons of love apart and diverse it everywhere in a supportive bowl. Stir all the ingredients with a spoon built out of responsibility. Bake at 360 degrees beauty. When finished, let the bowl sit for as long as it needs to mature.

Your final product? Life.
