I flip a coin.
I flip a coin to choose for me.
For I am a poor decision maker.
It could land on heads. Or tails. You see.
That is why I flip a coin.

I flip a coin to choose which one.
For I am a poor decision maker.
A decision, I can think of none
That is why I flip a coin.

I flip a coin to choose my fate
For I am a poor decision maker.
I am in neither a good nor happy state.
That is why I flip a coin.

I have flipped a coin to choose for me.
For it has decided my end.
It landed on tails, for all to see.
And now I must meet my destiny.
That is why I flipped a coin.
Suicide is a coin flip of emotions. Don’t let your fate be decided from one wrong turn of a coin.

What is it like.
What is it like.
What is it like to breathe someone else’s air, to fill someone else’s shoes.
What is it like to love another family, to be a strangers muse.
If I have any right to this knowledge, I shall not abuse.
For I want to know what it is like.

What is it like to be ashamed of your culture, to live in constant fear.
What is it like to hide your religion, to flee when police are near.
If I have any right to this sadness, I shall make my pain clear.
For I want to know what it is like.

What is it like to stand all alone, to walk without someone beside you.
What is it like to live without a parent, to grow up without a fathers virtue.
If I have any right to this loneliness, I shall not lay down my head in blue.
For I want to know what it is like.

though I cannot know what it is like.
For my life is none of these.
My life is good, I live with ease.
So I cannot know what it is like.
This is rough, I'm sorry.

The wall
The wall, the wall, the wall
It has never stumbled, it will never fall,
The wall stands grand and makes you feel small,
The wall, the wall, the wall

They stand, they stand, they stand
Some stand on top of the wall,
Although they hold on by tooth and hand,
They stand, they stand, they stand,

Some fall, some fall, some fall
Some may fall off of the wall,
They crawl back, but cant get back on top,
And they realize they know nothing at all.
The wall, the wall, the wall

The scrunchie
The scrunchie sits on the dresser not alarmed by my passing
The scrunchie sits unburdened by the twists and turn of everyday use.
The hair band is lifeless and yet more content than I will ever be.
You see, I’ve dug myself in a hole, I’ve built myself 4 walls, I’ve lost myself in the cascade.
For what is a house without someone to occupy it, and what is a wall without something to capture, and what is a scrunchie without hair for it to hold.
