ASK HER!
Am I lost?
Have I been drowning myself?
Was I wrong to think it can work?
Didn't I give it what it costs?

Have I been blind to the fact?
Did I refuse hindsight?
Were my eyes shut to the light?
Was I engaged in an unnecessary fight?

Was I wrong to be positive?
Is my yes nature a curse?
Should I have accepted defeat?
Am I blind to the fact?

Am I too strong headed?
Should I be more negative?
Should I lose before fights?
Did I lose from the start?

Was I wrong to fight?
Were you not worth the strive?
Should I have stayed off outright?
Should I have fought the bite?
Your opinions count.. Drop'em.

TOPSY-TURVY
Seasons go and seasons come
Daily we seek dawn of victory
Like we did the day before
Out again, lust for glory
Like the people long before us
Our destination remains cloudy
But as they did deep in the storm
We push with brute and paddle on wildly
Hot days and cold nights
Vain expectations,self inflicted pains
Lamps burnout,we wallow in the dark
Seeing nothing but memories of the past
Like shadows cast,our progress relapse
New dawn and our eyes are clear
Partially,again, we retrace our steps
Away as earlier on a new route
On course for old lessons unlearnt.

I AM THE LIGHT
I BRIGHTEN YOUR NIGHTS
I PROVIDE CLARITY
YOUR NIGHTS,YOUR PAIN
THE TORTURE AND THE STAIN

I ELIMINATE YOUR PROVOCATIONS
I SEIZE YOUR SHIELD OF TORMENT
YOUR FANTASIES I GIVE A CHANCE
PUSH TO FORE YOUR UNIQUENESS

MY EXISTENCE SIGNALS HOPE
THAT I AM HERE,YOU ALL WILL COPE
MY PATH,MY LIFE MANY WILL FOLLOW
I AM A SIGN OF BETTER TOMMOROW

I AM THE LIGHT SENT FROM ABOVE
TIMES WILL PASS.MANY WILL GO
MY AFTERMATH WILL CARRY ITS GLOW
THAT I WAS HERE,MANY WILL KNOW
Inspired by a little orphan whose identity I cannot disclose... He once recited a poem of his while I and my pals Oyediran Babajide and Ejioye Funsho listened. There was repetition of 'I AM THE LIGHT' all through his poem. Something clicked to those words and i knew I had to write to the same tittle.

WHAT FOUR YEARS LOOK LIKE
He came as super bunny
She,...Cinderella in red and lovely
Tom and Violet were milk and honey
Alex and Suzzie, quite a beauty
At the Drunken Pig again
Garden with beautiful flowers perfectly lain
Four years and what they have is bare
And now back to Alamo Square
Wham! Alex and Suzzie did
In that time they got two kids
Wham! Gideon also did
And violet is four again you see
Worst choice is no choice at all
San francisco through Michigan through the fall
Clam-bar to Michigan took all four
As Tom and Violet chose to fall
Four years is like violet
Help tell Violet and Tom
Violet is fair and priceless
Someone please call 9-1-Yum
Inspired by 'The five year engagement'(a 2013 movie). Please help share with your friends.

IT WILL RAIN
Positive atmosphere of times past
Now wishes built in dream brackets
That perfect times are now past
Smashed away with huge rackets

Dark clouds reign supreme
Day or night? Hard to distinguish
Darkness overshadows our existence
Hearts and souls wallow in anguish

They tell of a voice, the bearer unknown
It carries a light with extremely dim glow
Forcefully, blindly we chase what we don’t know
The closer we get,the dimmer the glow

How soon can the pregnant plain above clear its stain
‘las our inventions proven vain
Do we keep moving, Or remain alongside predecessors in pain?
Cos sooner or later, they say “it will rain”

OFFICE CHAIRS
Now,we are on par
Why are you so dusty?
This table and the tiny desk before you,
Aren't they all separating us ever?
You are ever so empty
Doesn't the boy care for you?

Never are we on par
Lest we switch positions
Desk and table? That's all you see pampered?
We are of varying divisions
Look to the sky
Now back to earth
You see the clouds so high
The sky is indebt
Its filled already though
But holds greedily
Then will it let go
When it has to, angrily
The one you call man
What makes him so?
He sits on another human
Only boys do so
The one you call boy
He cares more than you know
You are just a man's toy
Too blind to know
I am ever so empty,
Yes,that i know
But just a little pity
And i too will glow
We run the relay
While you lie
You get the pay
We pay the price
I have discovered people find it hard to understand my poems so this is an attempt to help make comprehension easier. Its a conversation between two office chairs. The first one is that of the boss while the other belongs to the office clerk. Both the boss and the office clerk have just left the office temporarily during working hours and the content of the poem is the conversation that ensues. Please read, digest, comment and Like

PAPER RAGS
Might not have made a difference yet,
You aren't any different either
Just what i have been scared of
same as every other
I haven't been the dream you say
In you God gave me a dream like i prayed
As you evolve,i resolve
I have seen your mistakes
I know your flaws
But i know what i want
So i take them all
You are everything i wish for
I will gladly watch you evolve
No matter how long it takes
I believe someday you'll be all i want and more

I am not what you wished for,why did you take me in?
You saw it all yet you keep me
Tonight,it hurts that i am too into this
For today, you are like every other  girl there is
As you grew into anger without holding back,
My heart tore into shreds,Paper rags
You don't know what i feel for you
Yet you are not to blame to say the truth
I could go on and on till i fill this book
But it seems nothing i write will spit the proof

CLOUDS
I try so hard
I fight the darkness
Till it clears into clouds
Things are never perfect

I try to play my part
The rest of the crew just don't have it
That, that is required to live
The blood stain on my diamond

This one thing I desire
Should be there all the way
Steadily grows into dark attire
Clouds are having their way

The dream remains a priority
I feel it blossom within me
Hence, will fight till blows pity me,
Hold back to let me in

As I soar in victory
Might hold back a piece of me
Probably will wake out of that dream
And yet have a place to live in

— The End —
