Can't forget you.
Ada diaz Jun 2014
I try to get you out of my mind
But you're like an annoying tattoo
Printed onto the back of my brain
And I try to forget you
But ignoring you is a pain
And I can't endure it any longer
But I'm an oh so stubborn girl
And keeping it in won't making me any stronger
So I'm writing this for you,
You nettlesome, pestiferous boy
And hope this makes you somewhat sad
Or maybe it'll bring you joy
You're a complicating being
You galling little ******
And I hope these words leave a sour taste in your mouth
That'll make your lips pucker
And I hope you get hit by a train
Or maybe like a go cart
I hope you feel intense pain
Like the kind I felt when you broke my heart
But You didn't just break it
You ripped it out
Stepped all over it
Shoved it back
And in my veins left a drought
That water couldn't fix
Or any liquid for that matter
It feels like a dry, brittle winter in my body
And my eyes are worn out
From watching you laugh and joke around
As if you didn't know what all this was about
I'm tired if feeling so blue
I'm sorry I wasn't what you wanted
And I hope you get a clue
That breaking hearts is only fun
If the one they're breaking isn't you.
