I am but a creature praying below my preacher.
Holding on to the things in the night
My teeth press agents my heart.
Trying not to feel the sting as I bite.
A lonely soul ripping from my skin.
It's pouring all around me, I'm soaked in my sin.
blanket my sorrow under pretty white flakes
freeze the memories beneath cold waters
carry away my heartache on frosty winds
oh, dear snow,
fall until there's nothing left
swallow me whole
help me to forget
just a bit longer
maybe come spring time
I'll be just a little stronger.
I once heard
that ***** removes blood stains
from clothing
but come to think of it,
that's usually how the blood
got there in the first place
-
I got some books last weekend
some filled with flowers
some filled with words
some filled with poetry
all filled with heartache
As I flipped through the pages
my hands began to bleed
and I realized that it was not my own
but it was the blood of the people
who turned their heart and soul
into black ink on a piece of paper

kylie
i am sorry
for
making you cry
but you need to come back
because
i miss the way you always
leave the cap off of the toothpaste
and
the way you laugh in your sleep
and
i've learned to love the smell
of
burnt toast because
you can't even
use a toaster
and
i'm sorry that i always
fight with you
instead of for you
and i'm sorry that i
say a lot of things
i don't mean
and
i'm sorry for a lot of things
but
i love you
and
i am not sorry
for that

Your sweet breath tickles my spine,
Calling out for the goosebumps.
But there’s a beautiful contrast
When your warm hands comfort them.
And even when we’re laying together,
And we’re still too far apart,
I can align my ears with your chest
To pick up the lovely rhythm of your heartbeat.
And since you always know what to do,
Next you’ll move my hair just enough
To plant a sweet, sweet kiss
Right on my forehead.
*I’m home.
