JESUS ON PALM SUNDAY
You rode a donkey, my great Lord !
You are Who rule the sky and land.
All kings rode chariots and top steeds.
You are the Lamb of peerless deeds.

You did not care what they would ride.
You knew Yourself, no need for pride,
that was employed by who felt slight
and their steep horses gave them height.

You are the Son, extremely strong,
with value known among the throng,
no need for worth from those outside
to give You what Your traits supplied.

THE TRINITY
It's not so nice for me to stay alone;
I see no one around to share my tone.
I go to my dear desk and precious pen
and shelter in my thoughts and what l ken.

I find myself quite involved with my word
which looms up as a rhyme which charms my mind.
I love this song and it in turn loves me.
We get together such a trinity.

I'm vastly happy now, and read my verse.
It speaks with me and l with it converse.
We share deep love and love gets here a third.
They speak with me and by them l am heard.

A GRACEFUL SMILE
So crowded was the street; l passed.
I saw a girl that pleased my heart.
She hid a smile that had great charm;
it touched all those who stole a sight.

She was a beggar and l wished
to give her what would allow me
to tarry and rob her again.
She locked my heart and had the key.

She had no job and was too poor
but thanked the Lord and all His saints.
She did not care for her poor life
as her sweet smiles were her assets.

A COOL WAFT IN THE HEART
I feel a breeze inside my heart
that makes me feel so glad and light.
I am so happy on the earth
and death will bring the trip of mirth.

The coming death will set me free
to fly in space where l can see
my parents an those whom l loved
are thronged in such a lovely crowd.

I miss them much that my tears will
fill my heart with the sweetest thrill.
We will sit under God's kind eyes
not scared of breach in His vast skies.

DON QUIXOTE, A COMMON SIGHT
There are few persons who are mighty knights.
The others are too frail and fear the cats,
but all will share the wish to have great strength
that should be proved before they meet their death.

Don Quixote, l see you in most men
who try so hard to build a new Big Ben,
but hunger bites their stomachs and their horse
which gets too weak to trot or the street cross.

Poor man, you have a dream and don't accept
to pass away ere grasping your concept.
You pass with tears which you can never hide
resulting from a loss you can't abide.

A HUMILIATED BIRD
I could not warble in a place
where tigers tortured little lambs.
They kidnapped them from weeping ewes
too fat and weak to walk or bounce.

The ewes could do nothing at all,
nor even their rams of long horns.
They stood and looked how their lambs bled
but could not say a word of blame.

I perched on that high branch and looked.
I could not call my dearest mate.
I felt my honour was debased
by what l saw but could not fight.

LET'S SEIZE THE NETTLE !
I write what my calm pen indites,
and you write with a pen that fights.
I treat the sujects that appeal
while you don't care how l may feel.

I go with you to your own isle
while you intend to cramp my style.
I like your dale and your high peak
while you act like a smart Aleck.

Let's be good friends in verse and need,
and then we enjoy what we read.
Let us, we two, seize the nettle
and as good friends our rows settle.
