Tita Halaman Dec 2021
Tanned, muted
Yet it’ll never fade
Your frailty, your warmth
Your courage, my faith

Gently, it echoes
Yet sometimes it shouts
You know with years and years, I’ll still recall
How you made me smile, after all

One shot for life, one shot for death
Been thrown down under, deep sea bed
Lonely and shaking, yet I swam instead

Limbs are heavy, yet I’ll fight the undertow
Little do they know, I just cried then I’ll glow
Like the bright gold dancing ray of sunshine
A loud talking rainbow among the clouds
I always can, for I always choose to
A poem for a painting

Amidst mismatch, I’ll go rearrange
Go stumble, go flourish
Go groove when it rains

Though lights are off, It’ll never stop
It’ll flow, It’ll grow
If you choose to, it will
No matter what
A poem for a painting

Breathing free, blooming untamed
Carving pathways, swallowing phrases
Time will fly, yet words will recall
How pretty it is, how great?
After all...
A poem for a painting

Never can a teardrop even
Roll down on your sad face
Whenever you leave me
Whenever I’m hurt
And here am I
Crying oceans below you
Feeling the weight, feeling the depth
You’ll never feel
You’ll never let the world to see
How come you’re telling me
You love me?
Tita Halaman Nov 2021
Never a stumbling block
But, a rising stepping stone
To leap, to outlive, to surpass on
A constant change, where I belong?
A constant move, to thrive along
Hence never will I stop, never will I fret
Leaping higher, jumping over
Me, myself
A poem for a painting for Art Moments Jakarta, representing Philippines under DF Art Agency

Tons of letters, I put on to sheets
Day by day, by and by
For myself and I, could fly and die
For you
A poem for an original painting and a song
