Everybody is looking for love
Everybody wants someone who cares
Everybody is looking for love
People are searching everywhere

We all want that beautiful feeling
Someone to touch our hearts
We want it to be the real thing
So we don't have to search no more
Testing out some lyrics. Started playing guitar again and been thinking about chasing some dreams. Appreciate any feed back.

Cincinnati Opening Day
It's a regional holiday
The Finley Market parade
America's first professional baseball team does it the right way

Excitement is in the air
I like to go downtown and pick up freebies on the square
Everybody is dressed in red or Reds gear
Bands are playing, if you want to have fun; you got to go there

The start of baseball season
You know warm weather is near
Everybody has high hopes that this is the year
Opening Day in Cincinnati, come on down and have a beer

It's the greatest band in the world
They play from shore to shore
The giant fingers move up and down the beaches
The sand is its cords

Sometimes they play violently
Like a rock band
Other times more softly
With the melody of a love song

People travel every year to hear them
Language barriers; they have none
Everyone likes to hear them
The Waves; they are number one

Paint me some spring flowers
Pansies and Crocus; purple and white
Dogwood trees with their, pinks and whites
Paint me some green on the grass and shrubs
On the trees, paint some buds
Paint me a cardinal in a pine tree
A Robin in the grass
Paint me some baby birds in their nest
Paint me a baby blue sky with a few puffy white clouds
and Please! Paint me a big orange sun
It's been a long cold winter
Paint the sun as big as a page
I need to warm up
Spring is already late :  )

Anger and pain can be powerful feelings
but don't let hatred enter your heart
Take that explosive energy; redirect it to something positive
You can accomplish amazing things with it

I watched as a doe and her fawns tracked thru the woods
She leapt over a fence and waited to see if her fawns could
The fawns went up and down the fence line, trying to find an easier way there
The mother waited patiently as if she did not have a care

One by one her babies leaped over the fence
Waiting for the runt, had to be tense
Up and down that fence line he  frantically raced
Until he got the courage to jump over at the same place

The mother knew what her babies could do
A life lesson; they had to learn; that they could do it too
You can learn a lot from nature if you sit back and watch
Be patient with others; they're on their own time; their own clock

Shy
Knock, Knock
I know that you are in there
Come out, don't be shy
You're not a tortoise don't hide in your shell
You have a lot to offer; come out and tell

Hello, Hello Are you talking to me
Are you really interested; will you accept me for being me
I'm not perfect; when something bothers me, I don't like to say
I like to hide in here and hope that it goes away

Come on out, I'm friendly and kind
Talk to me, we will have a good time
I'm understanding and it's not good to keep things inside
If something is bothering you, you have to tell people why
