A bit late only at Forty Three

Put down by colleagues
Instigated by parents
That i was Rookie
Not to send players to train with me

Rumors i was hearing
My reputation taken to the cleaners
In order to be sure i enquired
The defaming could not be truer

My doubts were erased
When a parent called one day
Told me to my face
That my skills needed an upgrade

Took a call then
That i will make a champion
Decided to mentor a newcomer
Started a new chapter

From that day onwards
The clock stopped working
Day or night did not matter
Time on the table only factor

Nothing else in my thought
No other feelings in my heart
Closed the doors to everything
Standing in the podium sequential dreaming

Worked in the process
Never took a recess
Hours spent countless
Taking the game to those who denounced us

Started with school matches
Everyone looked up and watched us
He piled up his wins one after another
Made me a proud teacher

Next up was the district
Matches became tougher
We didn't loose our vigour
District match another victory in sight

Mistook him for my son
The bonding went beyond
No one would work for the other
Unless it involved a biological
Answer

The sessions were so intense
Both had to go and see a shrink
He even blacked out and fainted
Our goal never went out of sight

Got selected to the State team
Won the Team Gold at the National Championships
Became India No 1 for a period
Dreams come true if you stick to the process

Made everyone look back
Had achieved which no one else
Who had mocked my abilities had
Answered with results garnered a lifetime of respect

Wide eyed everyday dreamer
Dream realised made me  stronger
Decided to dream even more
Dream backed by action is what is called as Champion

Live life today
Make it  beautiful
Whatever may happen
Not our decision
Handle it with perspective
Tomorrow it becomes a memory
Start a collection of wonderful memories
That is the best story
You can tell yourself
Things go as planned
Nothing greater
If not then God has taken over
Either way in safe hands
You survived till today
Remember that all day
Live it with a purpose
One step closer
To your goal
Follow your teachers
Recall their lessons
Application makes the difference
Watchful with your words
Respect the elders
Thankful to everyone
You are where you are
Because you deserve to be
Life is unfair
You react by being fair and square
When the clock shows
The same time again
If you retain the oneness
Your heart will give you the answers

Think feel act and react
Keeping the senses intact
Go to sleep without any guilt
You could not have done better
Even if you had faltered

Convinced about the reasons
To teach people a lesson
Move on at breakneck speed
Before contemplating a single deed
Drinking poison hoping
The other man will die
Or hoping the opposition takes the poison
Does not change a thing

Unless their death gives you a sense of conquest
Move on as far as you can
Harm and insults
Never made anybody
Feel better about somebody

Judgements delivered yesterday

The Evening shade casts it's gray

The same hair treated worse than dust
Treated with shampoo conditioner and gel
Now brushed away from the body the second it falls in us
An analogy to life none greater than the hair
If you are where you are supposed to be you get the respect even without asking
The second there is no need for use
Even your presence will be looked down upon and ignored forever

Help find the true friend

Birth side and Deathbed

They prevent illness
Bring about wellness
Your health their motto
Only goal they follow

Manage Educate Advocate
Detect Counsel Educate
Honesty and ethics their core
The Gallup poll says so

Pride and dignity
They possess in excess
They share it with the patients
Who loose it in sickness
