Find Me
Tracy S Mar 2020
Addiction
Affliction
My hearts swollen from the friction
Is this real or is this fiction?
Let me give you a depiction
A simple contradiction
My heart sharing its conviction

Not like any other
Rejected by her Mother
Cold words unkindly uttered
Look deeper and you'll see
The inner child yearning to be
Me
         Me
                 Me
Free

Find me
Discover and see
Storm my castle
What a hassle
I dare you to try
Read behind the lines
Understand why it’s easier to lie

Submission
Suspicion
Always giving you permission
To see me as a victim
Resentment as a symptom
Starving for some love
If you have some time
I know better
Spend your dime
Can't be bothered
Won't even try
Easier to render
Actions that you can deny
I want my voice
l have no choice
Afraid to speak
I'm so weak
What a freak

Obsessed with your perception
So I conform into perfection
Fearing your rejection
I'm dying for affection
Not some negative connection
Out of my control
I'm on a roll
You don't even know
I'm dying slow
Just let me go

Find some love, at a price
High and painful
You'll give advice
I won't think twice
I'm not so nice
I wanted you
I wanted your time
You wanted me
To fit your mold
Does as she's told
A constant scold

It's time to find her
Now and forever
Give up the pride
And just surrender
Time to stop her
Heart from dying
End the crying
And the lying

Mince my words
Tracy S Mar 2020
mince my words
until I smell of garlic
self righteous
until I taste blood
codependent
until I feel nothing
fearful
until I see morning
numbness
until I touch skin
anxious
until I sleep
betrayed
until I see evidence
broken
until I find the glue
honest
until I am not
invisible

I cry for roadkill
Tracy S Mar 2020
I mean it’s not like you are my pet
or anything
Christ almighty never fail
Guts spilled ****** splatters
another road ****

Possums
Raccoons
Rabbits
and Deer
Kitty Cats
Puppies
Squirrels
just laying there

Innocent creatures
trying to cross
roads once were there’s
now only lost

Tears stream down
a dead one in view
I don’t understand
how this happens
to you

Cars fly by so fast
without care or a worry
Get to work
Get to dinner
Hurry hurry hurry

Run over that animal
It’s not a big deal
Overpopulation
A nuisance
Dead at the wheel

I cry and I cry and
I cry for
your life
It wasn’t your fault
I wish you were alive

We build our roads
On top of your home
And when your in the way
Our engines of chrome
leave your body to spray

Even as drivers quickly
pass by
I am quick to discover that
look in your eye

You shouldn’t have suffered
You shouldn’t have died
I am so very sorry
But my hands are tied

I know that my sorrow
won’t bring you back
I bet it feels like your under attack

I didn’t even know you
We weren’t even close friends
My tears mean nothing
My hearts yours to the end
