Clean and cut
Tess burton Jun 2021
The first sleepover
The first of few
The closet was shut
Her apparel..clean and cut

The mattress dropped off
Where my feet and ground met
Facing the doors
Anticipating white,clean and kept

The clock ran past spring into summer
I found myself faced with the delusion
Clean and kept
Clean and kept

The faulty truths of Exodus
Surrounding her sensuality
Piling  on top of
white, clean and kept

A moth dismantled the cocoon
But what was once normal and light
Soon bloomed its colors
delayed while at flight

The doors opened
The delusion lost in a maze
The shirts behind the doors
unorderly, colorful and untamed

the dark
Tess burton Sep 2020
The dark

presented as a wave
masked with irritation
hidden beneath lazy

hollow within the cave
filled with Desperation
labeled as Crazy

Crazy to be heard
Desperate to be loved
someone to save me
or all is undone .

Petals
Tess burton May 2020
The gateway to the garden
Flame the fence

Burn by the dozen
Never repent

Thoughts are crushing
Worse than his weight

My beautiful lilac's
      Burned
For his mental state

The garden in ashes
Petals...now dust
Onto rebuild
The fence he blazed

Seasonal depression
Tess burton Jul 2019
Easy like the girl nextdoor
Red rows side by side
Each one on the virge of divide

Silver sparkle
Gliding  sensation
Most damaged have the temptation

Cold cuts oceans deep
Desperate for it to surpress the next beat
Longing for each breath to be the last
And once they've past
Their cycle is through
But the drip of damage
Flooded through me and you

Friendly fire
Tess burton Jul 2019
Souls combined engulf in red flame
Passionate at the touch a feeling only those in love could explain or rather clutch
Although a different spark plays the game

Beauty to the eye
pain to feel
Crystal clear
A flame so blue
Beating to the rapids of the river marks my fear

Comparing and contrasting
My love from hers
All I can say is blue flame burns
