I cry my cherry red blush ,
Blue mascara away,
I beg the man with black eyes
And a black heart to stay
I feel my body sway,
I sway & I sway, I sway
into the dream state where
I know nothing gold can stay,
But I still cry my cherry red lipstick
Away
And I still sway, and sway
And sway

They keep tellin' me across the river,
with poems strewn all on the wooden floor
they keep tellin' me it gets better
for time heals all which burns cold
yet the long, winding, static road
seems to yearn for me to feel the depths
the ebs and the flows, forcing  me to
drink the past & pain like strawberry lemonade
they keep tellin' me it gets better,
but does it?

pain transcends space and time,
for it takes a new form, takes over a new body
latches onto a new vessel
like the ship which rides
the erratic tides of the ever stormy
volatile sea

I rest my head on the birds,
we fly into one another as we seek
the roads less travelled
and intend only to be free-
free from who we've been,
free from who we are
we fly into the ethers

will the sun rise
again
yes
will the moon rise the tides again
yes
will the afternoon sway into
the evening
yes
will the heart bleed vermillion drops
onto a page, exploding into a million
words which expose the human condition of
longing
yes

In a realm where nothing is as it seems,
and the dreamer always dreams
the mystical moon is guiding
me through the doors which
once closed shut, now they are swung wide open
The forbidden fruit tastes sweet
the poison tastes like cinnamon
the vines grow downward into the roots
and the sun rises backwards

The new dawn is
callin my name
The tides are shifting
rollin away
, and letting me free
the karmic ties are
cutting loose
the universal lucidity
is shinin through
