reminence

I miss the thought of us,

but maybe there was nothing to think of from the beginning.

reborn
Roz Feb 2019
My bare feet walk through the dead garden, thorns ***** my calloused feet and blood begins to seep into the soil beneath me.
I fall to my knees, my palms hit the ****** soil.
My nails dig into the ground, turning black.
I look up into the sky looking for answers, I scream into the stars but they only seem to stay quite.
I hear coyotes howling for each other, the crickets dancing to there own music.
I lay down, embracing the throbbing in my feet.
Im done, I wish to fall deep into the soil.
For roots to spring out of my toes and cling to the earth.
My eyes be glued shut from the minerals enriched in the soil.
For my body to rise above the ground as a beautiful flower, beautiful colors shining out of me.
I wish for people to walk by and smile as I flourish in beauty.
I wish...
sometimes I wish I could be reborn, have a new story

Our hearts bleed for those who don't
sometimes people give too much to those who have nothing to give back

Happy Birthday Dad
Roz Jun 2019
I hope you are with your dad, laughing so hard your head tilts back and your eyes close and crinkles spread from the corners.
I hope you have a slice of cake and no one is there to yell at you when you start talking with a mouthful of frosting.
I hope you have a better birthday than the last.
Happy 61st daddio

green eyes
Roz Mar 2019
my eyes are glued to your shoes,
too scared to look up.
too scared your green eyes might meet mine.
too scared they won't look at me like they use to.

custody battle
Roz Mar 2019
I am not the wood from the benches that I sat miserably on in the courtroom. But the yellow in the petals of the beautiful sunflowers that danced beneath the sun.
