Farewell
Paul Hobson Mar 2021
Morning bells sound,
Its reville, French for wake up.
Time to get dressed and shave,
Maybe put on some makeup.
Here we are at quarters still half asleep.
Wondering what today will bring,
Not a person makes a peep.
The plan of the day is mundane,
Not one of you hears a word,
Doubtless in your mind, you think this is absurd.
Shift colors, were now underway.
Same conversations, drills and watches,
Months will go by, its like groundhog day.
You cant wait to be free, leave this horrible place.
Don’t get so far ahead of yourself,
Life will always continue the same pace.
Don’t get wrapped up in the negative that you see.
This is just the start of what all of you will be.
So have a fine navy day my friend
Because one day it will surely end.
Attention to quarters, I bid you all adieu,
I hope you guys remember me for something good,
Ill never forget you.

What We See
Paul Hobson Mar 2021
Beauty lies inside those honey marbled eyes.
She knows she special, there’s no disguise.
Knees go weak and I lose myself.
Every day of her life, I’ll be sure she knows her wealth.
My heart was hers from day one.
Past is erased, other than her there is none.
Time means nothing, tunneled vision into you.
I sit back and stare, just enjoying the view.
Your touch arouses deep seeded desire.
Our love continues to climb higher and higher.

BREATH
Paul Hobson Mar 2021
When you close your eyes, I hope you
See my soft gummy lips.
Feel the contour of my face,
The slow gentle movements of my hips.
Deep inside you I plant my seed,
Breathe me all in can you feel it,
The way we both yearn and need?
Can the smile in these brown eyes
Still bring you to your knees?
Looking up at me, ask for another taste please.
“X” marks the spot,
Use my body any way you desire.
If we keep this up,
We’ll set this whole world on fire.

Fire
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
In the midst of life, passion takes ahold of me.
I am unable to understand the feelings,
I am lost somewhere.
The dark room I’ve lived, keeps a grip on me,
Tempting me to stay.
I can’t move or see but I feel life coming in,
A new sensation of lost hope.
Raise a hand into nothingness, no expectations.
At first I feel cold, then it subsides,
A warmth takes its place.
My hand grips it, the source, and the desire.
Something faintly remembered,
Is this real or am I asleep?
Light emulates from the distance, there it is, and there she is.
From the depths fate sends me my answer,
The question has always been there,
Teasing me, laughing and waiting for me to see.
As she smiles, it radiates through me, lifting me up weightless.
Together we float up high as one, together, forever.
She is the spark to my match,
True love ignited.

WIND
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
Eyes closed, salty wind blows through my hair.
Open them, look off into the horizon, all I see
Is your face everywhere.
Take a deep breath, feel you inside my heart.
Each beat pulses your love through my veins,
Shake off the chill I feel up my spine,
Edges of my lips curl into a smile,
Never gets old.
I never knew a person could make me feel such wealth,
Baptized in the river of passion,
Bring on the flood.
My mood stays up high, there’s no way to come down.
You by my side I feel like an invincible warrior of love.
My angel with me forever stands firm,
She’s finally all mine, god answered my prayer,
Heaven on earth can’t be touched,
What used to be a fight of will, now it’s simply air.

We
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
We
Here we are.
We, the people.
The loved, the hated, the oppressed, the sedated.
From the earth we dwell,
Drinking from the same well,
We will all wind up in both heaven and Hell.
Angels of mercy united together,
We are all the same in the eyes of the lord,
Look at the storm we all weather.
Look at how far we’ve all come,
Fighting slavery, racism and hate
But you know we aren’t done.
Is it bold of me to say we lead in this crusade?
All of us Sailors beating to the same drum,
Sharing the same beds that we made.
The Trevor’s, the Tina’s, Jose’s and Mike’s.
Inside aren’t we all just alike?
We beg, we bleed, we lust, we need,
Little did we know we are grown from the same seed.
Let us stand together, the red, white, and blue

Amalgam
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
Beyond the minds shadowed eye,
Lies the divine.
Let us spin through the quantum Kaleidoscope,
Bound by organic imagination.
Celestial prowess magnified by pain,
We are the unholy ghosts of reality.
Shape shifters behold,
Stories lost and untold.

What's Done
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
Love is a flame,
Mine burns hot.
Only a special woman can handle it,
It is her you were not.
You let it destroy you,
Burned you from inside out,
Your heart isn’t pure,
There’s nothing I could do.
You lost what all want,
A one of a kind love,
Much luck in your journey,
You’ll need it,
Now I’m done.

Bloom
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
As the world disappears into your rearview mirror,
A brand new chapter in life draws nearer.
Don’t look back in sadness, but awe.
All the pain and heartache, you survived it all.
A beautiful flower left in the shade for years,
Heading towards sunshine, without any fears.
You come to me with arms spread wide,
We both smile, there’s no more need to hide.
I love you like the sun loves the flower,
Every day from now on, this is OUR hour.

"The One"
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
Date 1, date 100
Date many, date none.
Millions to choose from,
But of me, there’s only 1.
Days will go on,
They will set with the sun,
Forever I’ll be,
Someone else’s number 1.

Cry
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
Cry
Id cry too,
Cry for me,
Cry for you,
Cry every time you see the color blue.
Cry alone in bed,
Cry each night after the prayers that are said.
Fill a bucket full of tears,
Those aren’t yours anymore,
Give them here.

Moon Dance
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
I gaze to the sky so late in the night,
Knowing you’re out there though not quite within sight.
Not a cloud to see, it’s clear as can be.
How you wound up with me is still a mystery indeed.
Fate must be at work, this much must be true,
I am so small, very little, almost nothing without you.
You light up the night, help me see in the dark,
Together united both match and a spark.
Well always be together, let’s not forget to enjoy the view
You’re my moon, my sun, my Venus… mon tout

Puzzle Pieces
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
Many things left undone,
Even more left unsaid.
No describing the pain,
Seeing him on my side of the bed.
The path of forgiveness is a labyrinth of hurt,
I'm simply lost and afraid.
All is gone now,
No love left to be made.
Heart in a blender,
The puzzle has begun.
All I want now is to put it back together,
Turn the broke and many,
To One.

What's Within
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
Fueled by earth coals from our soul.
Love is an eternal flame.
Alone we are but a pilot,
Light, which is faint in the dark.
Looking for our match to turn up the heat,
Not too much,
Not too little,
Just enough,
Some call it a spark.
Cupids arrow can create holes in our soul,
Fire ****** out by heartless and cold.
Shriveled to nothing,
It fades away,
Until the cosmos sends kindling our way.
Awaken whats hidden,
Recharge whats within,
We rise up tall, let the healing begin.
Live on, keep the thermostat set,
This journey is just beginning,
We’ve only just met.

Will You
Paul Hobson Feb 2021
I love you for what you are,
I love you for what you’re not.
What I thought used to be love,
Has simply become an afterthought.
Perfection on a whole new level,
I can’t get enough of you,
Our souls intertwine sharing energy,
Blurring the lines between anything else within view.
We have created a new language of love,
Spoken only by two,
Felt by none,
We are the few.
Walk with me hand in hand,
Destination unknown,
Toes buried in the sand.
Light of my life,
Sunshine through the clouds,
I dream for the day I call you “ my wife”.
