I'm not in a hurry, though you've made me wait.
I just want to know you, before it's too late.
You dive right on in, and then you drift away.
With slight hesitation, I'd rather you stay.
You gave me a quick gander into your soul.
You made me believe that I could be made whole.
I thought I found hope when I looked in your eyes.
My head and my heart were just whispering lies.
I can't be angry that you don't want to stay.
I don't deserve to be happy anyway.
I don't even deserve to still be alive.
Despite my only prayer, I still haven't died.
The one thing I've needed doesn't exist,
Love's merely a thought, so here's my final wish.
As the last drop of blood, leaves my weeping veins,
Before someone gets paid, to mop up my brains,
Remember you left me alone, with my fate.
Rendered me worthless, do not resuscitate.

Thick black smoke rolls over the shore
Engulfed in flames, her soul wants more
Magnetic field ignites her heart
Destruction births her brand new start
Hungry eyes endure the burning
Ashes spread by endless yearning
She'll rise above and spread her wings
The Phoenix soars, her life begins

Don't come any closer,
you'll hear my heart breaking.
The crickets and the frogs
drown out all the aching.
The moon gathers the stars,
they're coming to save me.
What more do you need, to
understand faithfully?

Invested trust, so poorly spent,
Even the stars have somehow bent.
Crippling doubt, head has a glitch.
Agony thrives, heart's on the fritz.
Relentless gripe, slow to succumb.
Desolate soul, coming undone.
Chartered chaos, hanging the noose. Afflicted love, won't cut me loose.
Demise of dreams, spoken too soon.
You, my love, did not hang the moon.

HIM
Four ambiguous  letters form a dangerous verb
Restrained from my lips, they're silently heard
It's irrefutable gravity when our eyes collide
An alliance more persuasive than the moon to the tide
Well pronounced passion reclaiming my smile
A comatose heart now deemed agile
His eloquent tongue
awakening my senses
His precocious soul breaching all my defenses
Fear bellows from my core, trying to wreak havoc
With deafening force, he's slaying my dragons
Silence may be imminent, once this prudence breaks
My skepticism tolerates no room for mistakes
A tantalizing humility, in preservation of it's claim
Silently implied, or fantasized, I love him just the same
