I deserve better.
Your choices have made us unfurled.
Put what you have to say in a letter,
And send it far out in the world.
I will find it in the years to come,
When we haven't spoken for a while.
You'll tell yourself I read some
But I'll just throw it aside with a smile.

2 parents, 2 kids
Not what I see when I hear this name
I see mom and stepdad one one side,
Trying to connect only feeling shamed.
Here I am in No Man's Land.
Emotions that refuse to be tamed.
I see memories of betrayal
How can I form one nation,
when all I have is bitterness running through me like radiation.

Michael Marchese
My archetypal anima
Could dream a billion dreams
Yet none elucidate my psyche’s
Shadow self-esteem
It yearns to be made whole again
Detaching from the soma
Yet can not mend the mandalas
That fracture its persona
From the superego servant
Of unconsciousness collective
To the individuation
Silent tyrant introspective
Still projecting as the pedagogue
The hero and the saint
But the mystic rebel overlord’s
This portrait that I paint
For I’m an evil genius author
Penning nurseries of rhymes
I am the psychopath symbology
Just read between the lines

Stepdad

Spray from hose.
Shocking cold.
Dog shakes it off.
Mantra repeats with
Another blast
You don't love your mother.
No more hose.
No more cold water.
Only cold inside.
