Were You The One?
BC Jul 2018
My heart aches for you each day I draw breathes closer to my death,

It’s like an unsatisfied nightmare,

Never Ending,

I could still feel your soft but elegant lips pressed against mine from that precious night,

Who knew in that instant my soul from that day would yearn for yours so much more,

It hurts so much, the feeling of missing you,

But I know our love can now only be a fantasy,

At least in my mind,

I wouldn’t know if your feelings were real or fiction,

One day however,

I’ll press the issue, before it’s too late!

Me and love became the best of enemies lately,

Through the shadows of my heart I've blocked its sunlight,

But my eyes had laid perfectly on you during that one night,

I can't forget the feeling,

A love so strong it broke the barriers of my heart all the way from the ceiling,

And if you ask me if I really love you, times yes by a million,

I mean I see things in you that you may not see in yourself,

A queen, a dime piece, a girl who knows her worth,

Makes me wonder sometimes how life would be if I had met you first,

But I can't change the past because I need you as my present,

And not the type that Santa brings when the snowfall's pleasant,

I want you to be mine, and I'm guessing now I'm running out of time,

So I'm hoping I get this message to you,

Give me one chance and I promise I'll never lose you,

Cause at the end of the day when its all said and done, I'll only chose you...
