I found myself hopelessly roaming around the dessert when my face hit hard against a tree that held the stature of a man standing and His arms outstretched to me

"Come back"

Bewildered I jumped and took a step back looking at the tree before me that could speak the voice sounding like many oceans deep, sincere and pure.

"Who are you?" I asked and His response sounded all too familiar but I just could not put my mind into the realisation

"I Am the great I Am. You have forgotten me. I Am the one who called you out of your Egypt and into my world of paradise. Come back"

Then it hit me... This tree was not before me but I was the one before Him and immediately I bowed my face covered and I wept

"Lord... How are you here in this dry desert? I have no water to give you nor an offering..." I lift my head to look up and the big beautiful rich tree that stands in awe
"You left me..." I whisper as tears continuously fall down my face... "Why did you leave me Lord... I did all I could to serve you and make sure you were well accommodated... But you left me. I went to find you in church but I couldn't find you... I looked for you in my neighbours but from their lips they threw hard rocks at my already wounded self... I have nothing to live for Lord... You come back. Let's go home and I'll continue to serve you. I'll travel all this world to make sure your legacy is built come Lord"

Silence. That is all I heard.

Then words came like a flood causing me to shiver

"I do not forsake my children. I am with you always. Day and night I sit in your room waiting for you to come spend time with me. I walk with you as you go out to give the word that you have read but not yet lived. I sit with you as you put in your mind what to do next to beautify my house. I listen to the formality of your prayers and realize that in your heart I am your guest. Do not look for me in men nor in the buildings for you cannot limit me into a four cornered building. I am omnipresent. You have become so blinded with your works that you miss even the small clues I live for you as I say come child, let us have a lavish time as I bring my Holy presence to you. I know the plans I have for you child. I knew you long before we had created this world. I made you with joy and wonder as I saw how amazing and special you were. Do not neglect my Holy Spirit because just like you, He feels. And I do not need you to build me a legacy because I am the legacy and far more greater."

I bowed my head in shame for thinking all this time I had known it all. I kneeled down and held the glorious one before me. Thinking I'd feel the hard texture of a tree, I closed my eyes and felt the rain all so ever peaceful beating against my face as arms wrapped around me full of warmth and like a child cradled, I felt a hand hold my face gently and I felt Him breath air to my face as I inhaled deeply feeling myself come alive and the pain gone but replaced with such immense joy and love and when I opened my eyes... In my arms I held a young lamb and watched the figure of a great Lion disappear off into the sun... And that was it when I realized the beautiful gift God had given me... The gift if His begotten son... The gift of life in freedom... From that day on... I never knew loneliness
