I spent 5 years of my life in the US Army
I got to travel around the United states during my time
I also traveled in Europe and Asia
My trip started in New York City
I then traveled to New Jersey and Maryland
My next stop was in Oklahoma
I then found myself in Germany and Italy
From there I went to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia
Iraq was my hardest stop of all
I have been in battle, I mean war
I lived my life in fear
My mind was never so clear
My trip of life ended in California
These were great years of my life
I wouldn't change a thing about time in the US Army
Military life was good to me

Please tell me what you see
Is it really a flying bee
I can't be clear on what I saw
But I truly think it was a draw
Look up upon these walls
At all the bouncing *****
No one knows when they will stop
We only hope that it will be at the top
Looking at it again, I think it's a flop

I woke up from a dream last night
But all that it was, was a scary fright
Things do not seem to be true
Even when I don't have a clue
I feel that there is no more time
Even though I continue to hear the chimes
There are situations that I must fear
However I don't think that people really care
What would I call a deal
If I can't remember what is real

All of a sudden I pushed open the gates
Not knowing what would be my fate
I can't remember what I have seen
Even though it was very clean
And then their he stood in front of me
The all mighty one explaining it all to thee
In the end we all must pay a fee

The end of my time is almost near
I feel that there are things that I must fear
I don't know what the future may hold for me
But I truly believe that I can find the key
New doors will be opened
And the old ones will close
The world is a wide open sky
And all I hope to get is a piece of the pie
Life is but a test of time
However, it is a hill that I must climb

There are things that I continue to think about
Some are the right things and
Some are the wrong things
I must make the choices
That I can live with
I must also pay for my mistakes
When they are made
I must think about why I'm here
What must I do to leave here
Night after night I dream of my freedom
Time continues to pass very quickly
My time here will end soon
There are many opportunities out there for me
What will I do when I get out
I know that I must do my best to succeed
Failure is not a choice for me

Can we see each other one more time

You don't have to be so cold
I feel this story must be told
I'm sorry for any pain that I caused you
