Puerto Rico is my wonderful homeland
It is the island with the glaring sands
Where everyone can always get a tan
The land where the music comes from the tremendous bands
The temperature is always sunny and hot
The land where I was baptized as a tot
It has endless beaches and gorgeous woman
Puerto Rico is my island paradise
There are thoughts that sit in my head
Like chapters of a book that must be read
Everyday in this world a woman is abused
Who will pay the price and stand accused
This fear wears at you day after day
It effects everything you do and say
You are scared to speak
For fear of what he will do
That fear makes him the master over you
You are still in control, if you take the reins
You can wash yourself
But nothing can ever remove the stains
These are permanent scars
Help can be found
If only you reach out
You can't ever be heard
If you don't shout
Please give me a reason for this
I know a woman who has been abused
Are we shocked that her boyfriend stands accused
Or do we turn our heads and look away
After all tomorrow is a new and better day
What happens if the problem keeps getting worse
Should we kneel and pray or stand and curse
Who holds the scales of justice
If she falls
Someone here or someone
Who hides behind walls
They hide so they don't
Ever have to see
Bruised emotions
Stain all that could be
This stain runs red
The color of blood
And it runs deeper
Than any other flood
I still remember the way it used to be
When you were with me
I want to meet you under the clear blue skies
And then I can look into your eyes
There are things, that need to be said
Before we can each retire to bed
We are both running out of time
You seem to be looking for something, you will never find
With everything that you do
I will continue to love you
At this time I feel that I'm alone
But I hope that we can share a happy home
Has all this been a lie
Or is this your way of just saying good-bye
Remember when I used to be there
Everything was ever so clear
There was never anything, that you ever had to fear
You are always on my mind
You were ever so kind
There was never enough time
People have always told me not to trust you
Because everything you touch turns blue
At this point I feel that I really love you
But that you, have always told me that, I never had a clue
This is something that I will never understand
But this is what has truly made me a man
You will always be my one true love
Because I will always think of you as my dove
I can't get your thoughts out of my head
Even though you are now dead
Now I know what has always been the key
It is to remember the way it used to be
We fell in love in December
It is a day, that I will always remember
It was a cold and stormy night
You and I bundled up tight
As I looked into your eyes
I could see the clear blue skies
As I look at your beautiful face
I said to myself, what a wonderful place
There isn't much more to say
You make every hour a precious day
Only time will tell if this will last
Or is it just something from my past
Christmas is a wonderful time of year
Just remember everything isn't as it appears
I can't tell you all the reasons
That I truly love this season
As my eyes come to tears
I realize people don't really care
This season should bring plenty of snow
As the temperatures dip well below
When the snow begins to fall
Everything else in this world seems small
I hope that all of your wishes come true
Especially if all your thoughts are new
Everyone should begin to cheer
Because Christmas is a wonderful time of year
