Sunsets
Brian Mar 2018
An orange sun dipping into the horizon
A reddish backdrop giving it perfection
Acacia trees creating a magnificent silhouette
Necks of giraffes sprouting above the vegetation
Evening birds adorning the sky in adoration
The ambiance of a warm African evening
Beauty perfected, I bet
But when I saw her, my definition of beauty altered
She has the beauty of the setting sun in her eyes
Eyes that make everything else seem dull
Heart-full laughter echoes from her heart
A frustratingly cute face with a touch of innocence
Her lips with a hint of black, what can be lovelier
Her beauty replaced my sunsets
