My heart has been split in two,
A bullet has torn through me,
In the name of my love,
In your name I have gone away,
And not a tear falls from either eye,
You merely step over my body,
You have betrayed my love and trust,
And because you have done so, I have told Him,

Heavy rains will fall from the heavens,
Into this bitter world of hate,
God is trying his best to cleanse it,
But He has failed once again,

I was so young when I first saw you,
You were in my heart from the day I was born,
I knew you were there even after the sun had set,
I felt you from high days to low,
But I did not know that you loved another,
And I guess he didn't know of me,
Because when he found my letters to you,
He pulled his gun, and I could not,

The ocean roars and eats the world,
It is God trying to cleanse it,
As hard as He tries, He fails,
And lets the night defeat the light,
It is always dark under my grave,
But it is where I will live forever,
I took a bullet for you,
But you didn't care and left me to die,

For each man on Earth,
There is a monster in his heart,
And because I have had mine spilled,
Mine has emerged to swallow you whole,

The world is slowly stopping,
And soon it will not turn at all,
Finally, God has figured out how to end the world,
And He lets it be me,

With my heart in two,
The world will soon be gone.

The tides roll ever so softly over my burning heart,
They soothe the ache and cool me before I fall apart,
The waves crash over my head and hold me to the depths,
The things I've seen have scarred me, they'll lead me to my death,

Fire rages and water burns,
Smoke-filled seas cease to churn,
The black spreads wide and life will rise to the surface with tender cries,

Winds strike fierce and lay to waste Man's mistakes and evil ways,
You must overcome your chains and melt away your pain,

Fire rages and water burns,
Smoke-filled seas cease to churn,
Black spreads wide and life will rise to the surface with tender cries,
Below the oceans, beneath the tides,
Underneath the gowns of precious brides,
The shadows fall away, the sun shines down so bright,
The fire under the water brings us the warmth of light.

Our hearts pour into the pages,
The ink is drawn from our veins,
Our minds sometimes serve as cages,
But our words can soothe the harshest pains,
Our hearts beat to set the rhythm,
They serve to pump the seas,
The answers lie deep within them,
Only our hearts can set us free.
