In times of distress,
Only one thing to call my own.
Now as I break,
My safety has been overthrown.
Tarnished linen,
A scent that stains.
An inconsiderate trigger,
Without permission to explain.
Tainted comfort,
Tangles around my soul.
Sacred spaces,
Now only a black hole.
Once warm and inviting,
Now frozen and cold.
I can't wash away the pain,
Which forces my body to fold.
An origami state,
Is the name of the game.
Complicated transitions,
When I'm the one to blame.
And now where I lay,
My head to rest.
Memories of intrusion,
Marks me second best.
