The man suddenly  seeing the devils face saw it was his own mirrored back at him. Horrified yet not surprised knowing in the minds of men burned the hottest fires of hell. Then taking in at a glance the blowing away the soul of those closest to him. While his  lay still intact he knew they were meant for him alone. No longer seeking the solace he once thought attainable he shakes hands with that cruel mirror. Then walks forth into the flames hand in hand. No longer questioning Devine providence but embracing thine judgment.

A dark fog spreads over the broken city
Scarred and demented from forgotten debauchery
Left unable to see the light anymore
Trapped in the bitter fog that can’t be cut through
Praying for a sun to burn away and lift this wicked fog
Breaking the cycle forevermore
So the the city can stand tall broken yet whole
Basking in the brilliance of a bright summer day
To never be lost in the fog evermore

Feeling so alone
As if I were a clone
Feeling like I’m alone and lost in the Sahara
While I’m walking down a crowded city street
Trying not to repeat the past
Isolating in to an oblivion
Rather than chance a real connection
Fearing for its failure
Not daring to care
With life feeling so unfair
But I must brave the storm
Overcome self doubt and fear
Then tear myself out the cloud
To speak loud and free
Able to define friendship and love
Rather than leaving a trail of heart break and petty betrayal

This stagnant feeling
Leaves my mind reeling
Like I were poisoned water
Unsafe to drink
Making it hard to think
As if the walls of my mind are peeling
Wishing I could rewind it like a clock
Or unbind like a knot
But the cure is not something that can simply be taught
It must be sought!
Although the way may be  fraught
With danger and pain
Although the easy way
May tease me it never frees me
So I carry on
In search of the only thing that’ll please me
Praying my feet don’t fail me
On the way to relief from what ails me
For the beast still trails me

She cut all the ties
With one little lie
Thinking it was a cruel mercy
She took me for a ride
But what she couldn’t hide
Was the truth in her eyes
And when it did I wanted to swim in rye
Till I turned blue from the high
But I knew
That wouldn’t end the pain
I must stay sane
And let go of the blame
So I may forget her name

She has my mind buzzing tonight
The timing couldn’t be more right
I don’t want to put up a fight
For every time I hear her calling
I feel like I’m falling
She even has me rhyming it’s troubling
It’s so subtly seductive
I can’t resist and yet I hope it persists
If I’m not confused I’ve found my muse
Now there’ll be no more blues
Time to put it in cruise
And let her take the wheel
To show her how I feel
Whether this brings me to heaven or hell
Only god call tell!

The stark beauty of winter sets in
Shown in the bare trees, the sharp blues of a winter sky only cold can reveal
The cold cruelty of its shows the reflection of a dried out and damaged soul
The magnificence of winter, and the root of its beauty
Is in knowing to to shall pass
With spring comes what was once dead
Alive again to thrive
Just like a cruel dark soul
With times loving nourishment it to shall pass
First it must endure the storm though
Between death and life
From that a new stringer beauty will manifest
One possessing all the brilliant color and variety of spring
Luck shall have the newly awakens soul live
So it can burn bright in an unending Indian summer
Capable of going out in and out
With the ocean tide
Finnsly at peace!
