Delicate flower,
Growing beneath the sunshine,
Summer is coming.
Haiku.

I have this feeling in my tummy,
Reminds me of those summers,
When the heat of the sun lured me into a game of happiness,
Spending my time with my toes in the sand,
Looking up at the cloudless blue skies,
And feeling invincible,
The hot sun melting away all the worries,
Walking barefeet on the pavement,
Arching my feet,
Protecting my soles from the heat,
The scent of newly cut grass making making me feel at home and welcome,
Late nights with the windows letting in a slight breeze,
Watching an endless stream of movies,
And I have this feeling in my tummy,
Reminding me of those summers,
When I was happy.

I wrote love on her arms,
Across her body,
Through her veins.

I wrote love on her arms,
To cleanse her,
And soothe her.

I wrote love on her arms,
So she could fill her lungs,
And let out a sigh of relief.

I wrote love on her arms,
To heal her bruises,
And scars.

I wrote love on her arms,
To remind her,
That she's worth it.

I wrote love on her arms,
So she could step away from the precipice,
And take a step closer to me.

I wrote love on her arms,
So she could wear her heart on her sleeve,
And know mine is right there beside hers.
And I wrote love on her arms, to show her she wasn't alone.

You entice me,
When you've had a long day,
Your hair wrapped in a messy bun,
Under the warm covers of your bed.

You enchant me,
When I see you curled up on the couch,
Lost in your own world.

You hold me captive,
When you breathe in the words written on book,
Like you need the fine script to survive.

You ignite me,
When your hair falls in waves,
Your back the shoreline.

You engulf me,
In the pureness of your smile,
And the bright light in your eyes.

You hold me in this web of beauty and love,
And you love me,
In this world full of hatred and envy,
You mean the world,
And everything beyond,
To me.

Let me show you love,
In my own exotic way,
Let me show you life.

Act like a lady they say
As they gaze at your clothing
Thinking it indecent
But still longing for more uncovered skin.

Act like a lady they say
When they see you with the other ***
Thinking you're nothing but a *****,
But all the while wishing it was them with you instead.

Act like a lady they say
As the gape at the immodest photos
plastered on billboards and magazine covers
But thinking nothing of their stack of ***** little secrets
Hidden under their beds.

Act like a lady?
How about you act like a gentleman.

You cover your heart in bands of steel,
A high security vault not open for viewing,
And is that the best thing?
Because surely it must get lonely being so closed up from the things most people enjoy,
Surely you must regret not knowing how it feels to let go,
You must be tired,
From standing so tall,
Your stance not wavering,
Surely you must want to break free,
Lie down,
And not be afraid,
Because you've gone too long without a shoulder to rest your head on,
Here I am,
Offering you mine.
To my lovely cousin.
