Thru deception of sin,
too many bereave...
The enemy’s at work;
just don’t be naive!
He’s cunning and crafty,
of this I perceive...
CHRIST; the only answer!  
But, you MUST believe!
Repent of your sins,
and then you’ll receive...
Everlasting life!  
A new heart conceived!

Bitter roots springing up,
will many defile...
Thru unforgiving thoughts,
does satan beguile!
After a time, therefore,
do they become vile.
Continuing this rage,
they’ll of others revile...
Yet stand without excuse,
before HIM, on trial!

BUT GOD, knowing sin’s wages,
delays awhile...
Wanting none perish and,
that ALL reconcile!

Abiding in Him, because He is the reason...
Forsaking all, so I won’t commit treason!
Choosing rather to suffer affliction than...
Enjoying pleasures of sin for a season!

Worldly pursuits, will come to naught...
‘Cause All these things, will one day rot!
Please remember, the wife of Lot...
To be content, with what you’ve got!

Abstain from sin, of this we ought...
For Hell is real, and very hot!
Sinful pleasures, are what you’ve sought...
Yet great the sorrow, when you’re caught!

Against His will, is what you’ve fought...
And for this cause, your name He’ll blot!
He will say, of the life you’ve wrought...
“Depart from me...I knew you not!”

Worldly pleasures, will our vision blur...
Knowing temptations, do often obscure.
Our Victory's in Jesus! We have the Cure!
Surrender to HIM...to thee, I adjure!
Having clean hands, and hearts that are pure...
Give ALL diligence! Make your Calling sure!

Seeking sinful pleasures; such was my game...
Friendships forsaken, my purpose to maim!
The law condemned me, ‘cause I was to blame...
Repentance from sin, to escape Hell’s flame!
Turning to Jesus, from that life I came...
And yet still I retain, much guilt and shame!
A heart transformation, no more the same...
For now I am clean!  I have a new name!
