in this lifetime
i am yours
in another lifetime
someone else's
i am aware
of the others
if only faintly
and i hate to speak
for the others
but this one with you
by far the best
Austin Sep 2024
How could you
Steal my breath
My attention
My heart
In one
Simple glance.

And sometimes
I like to think
That what you did
Was intentional
That maybe you wanted to
And that you still want to
That maybe you needed to
And that you still need to.

Maybe you could be something
Somebody special
My somebody
But you will always be remembered
As the thief that stole from me.

the floor keeps creaking
letting the sadness escape
and i love to keep seeking
for the boards to fix it

the windows got left open
letting the world crash through
and i love to keep hopin'
that the boards will hold

the roof is starting to fall
letting the pressure creep in
and i love to stare at it all
realizing the boards aren't enough

I feel like my hands aren't my own
My body is no longer my own
My steps are hollow
My movements too animated
I feel the tide turning in my head
The waves are breaking
And only causing chaos
Lawlessness and disarray
Anarchy and pandemonium
.....

It's calculated
I am realizing all too late I'm losing
Something is changing
A modification
A shift
A revision
I feel I'm operated by somebody else
Not me but a variant
A voice akin to my own
A parallel that has made it clear
It will either win or it will destroy me.

.....

No more black and white
No more good and bad
No more hero and villain.

.....

All alone, not really.

.....

May you remember me
For who I once was

.....

This disease
No
This sickness
No
This ailment
No
This disorder
No.

.....

I now have a liberator
Guardian
Rescuer
Preserver
Salvager even.

.....

He has been saved
What you call *******
Oppression or tyranny
Jurisdiction or dominion
Is deliverance
Emancipation or independence.

.....

I woke up today
My hands felt like my own
My steps were substantial
My movements absolute and genuine
My ocean tranquil and mute
And for now, I recite a cantilcle
Of bliss and appreciation
To no god in particular.
Thoughts after weeks of struggling with worsening Bi-Polar Disorder.

For those who know disaster
For those who know loving laughter

Those who know bitter
Ends
And those who know sweet Beginnings

Ever after only exists
For some
Call it Schrodinger's Fairy Tale

I've won but at what cost
I've healed but who is lost
I stand strong on this mountain
Only to realize it is one made of bones

I've fought so hard
Cried and bled
One blink
And it all comes back
Blood in the sink
Little fractures and massive cracks

Then I look in your eyes
My little goddess
My parallel and gravity
And I realize that although
The bones are of friend and foe
I can't change any of it
Wouldn't change any of it

For now I will continue
Because of you and for you.

When I die,
I don't want anybody,
to speak at my funeral.
I don't want anybody to tell lies,
just for the sake,
of my posthumous appearance.
Austin Sep 8
Humming a melody
I used to know
Writing stories
I used to feel
Painting pictures
I used to understand
Living a life
I used to love
Austin Aug 5
i used to
complain and whine
about how poorly
life was going
how the world
had been so unkind
it is now clear to me
i cannot be the victim
while trying to be the victor

To love can be fatal
To be loved can be frightening
To find both in a lifetime
Is to be struck by lightning
Austin 3d
This
Cannot go on
Losing
Each little argument
Feeling
My words land on severed ears

This
Keeps happening
Losing
Each little battle
Feeling
My actions land on dead consciences
Austin Nov 2024
I have thought about being something
Other than myself

To be the smoke from an exhale
Of a shortening cigarette
Fading into the air.

To be a brown leaf
Of a dying tree
Falling to the ground.

To be the the bubbles
Of a powerful ocean wave
Incorporating back to the mass.

To be free of this mortal shell
Of despair and agony and turmoil
Drifting through the world.
Austin Apr 26
They say I need to move on
Say I can't see the ghost of you
Yet I don't even have that
Memories that don't exist suddenly
Photographs burned out of spite

I look in the rear view and
Don't even have the ghost of you?

if life is warfare
then i am merely
a carrier pigeon
trying to not get
blown out of the sky

You laying
In the cabin's window seat
Reading one of my
Favorite books
The sun
Reflecting off your hair
We are existing
Together
At peace with life
Concerned with nothing
And for right now
As much as I
Want to continue to describe this
I want more to get lost
In this moment
Forever.

Remain fluid
In a world of friction
Remain humble
In a world of glory
Remain honest
In a world of deceit
Remain steadfast
In a world of imbalance
Remain alive
In a world of death

If you just remain
I will remain here
With you

I'd love to meet you halfway,
I just don't think today is the day,
Wrap yourself around me,
Let whatever this is be.

Reflections of souls beneath the moon's glare,
A cruel embrace leaves scars I must bear,
The fire of my past now a flickering flame,
Faded photographs whispering names I don't claim.

Crimson skies bleed with my forgotten cries,
The weight of the past like a shroud that denies,
Chained to the moments that scream in vain,
Like a tornado in my heart, driving me insane.

As the hourglass shatters, and time slips away,
I embrace the blame, a small price to pay,
In a labyrinth of memories, I search for the light,
But every step forward pulls me farther into the night.

In the mistakes of yesterday, where the sunlight fades,
Disbelief in my veins and loathing that invades,
Acceptance deep in my soul,
Hate entangles, a noose on a pole.

In the silence of dawn, I find peace in decay,
As I stand on the edge, I'm letting the shadows stay,
I am the echo that I want to erase,
In my heavy heart may I find my place.

My book is written
Sentences of hopefullness
Paragraphs of melancholia
A rephrensible villian
An unpleasant hero
The protagonist
The antagonist
Are the same being
And I'm sure
The reader wants
A victor

Fate beckons you onwards
Not caring what you have
Nor who you are
What you leave behind
Nor what you become
In due time
You will be a whisper
Amongst those forgotten
Begging the next person onwards
Austin Jul 28
Hold me
With the gentleness
You would give
A flickering candle

Touch me
As tenderly as you can
As if you are operating
On an open wound

Kiss me
As hurriedly as you wish
As if we aren't going to get
One more singular moment

I want to put my words into a song
But I cannot sing
These are the times
Where you can truly see
My prose and cons.
Austin Aug 7
I tried to
show me
Why I
loathe me
I sit in
the dark
Cause I can't
stand me
Doesn't matter if
I say
I'm sorry
to myself
There's no
forgiving me
I know that
the thing
That disgusts me
is me
Austin Mar 2023
Knowing it hurts but staying close to the flame
My eyes continue to bleed
Little red teardrops
Hurting myself the same way
I put on disguises
Just to watch myself suffer
The mirror is just the devil
And I don't know where I am right now
I never change myself
Maybe I'm the problem.
Austin Jul 31
most aim to be calm
not let the world
affect every aspect of life
its not a bad plan
i just prefer to be
a little more like tea
steeping in silence
Austin Sep 2022
Let me tell you a story
Spin you a tale
It's just you and me
And my cigarette

That I wouldn't make it out alive
Make it to twenty five
Cause all I think about is hitting death row
Killing somebody with a knife
Or put that gun to my head and let it blow
Brain matter on the wall
Splatter and that's all
I have homicidal thoughts
Just dispatch somebody so quick
Who knew death could be bought
Let em ******* pain, just a lick
I guess I'm messed up
I guess I'm sick
I don't know what cause this
I don't know why this is in my head
And all the tears I shed
All I want in my face is lead
Elevating, delegating, and debating
Out of myself, leaving instructions, and deciding if I want to do this
But there wasn't any doubt
Cause all I want from this life is out
And yet I'm still here
But I still killed myself last year

I want to go back,
after turning my back,
on all I know,
trying to prove I could go,
the distance,
I put between us.
I want to go back,
before I left myself,
in the dark,
losing all sight of what I chasing,
turning the lights out,
with my own hand.
Austin Apr 28
Some find their sanity
On the edge of a blade
Some find it in an ocean
And they just calmly wade

Some lose their sanity
All because of love
Some find it in the air
Sight of flowers or a dove

Some simply never had
Some pretend to always have
Austin Jul 23
I looked at myself
And truly took myself apart
I found that I love
To get into mischief
I like making mistakes
One really shouldn't
I love to have **** ups
So I don't feel like
Such a big one.
Austin Sep 14
What has my brain done to itself,
In the name of protection?

I still get pulled out of my body,
A mere spectator of my corpse,
For it isn't a living body,
When I don't possess it.

I still struggle to remember,
So much of my own childhood,
An abyss of alleged memories,
That I cannot substantiate.

I still claim myself as parts and pieces,
To point fingers and divide feelings,
To always further deny myself,
Ever being whole.

I still say it isn't all my fault,
Previous events caused this,
Caused my brain to decide,
I can't always be me,
I can't remember what is me,
And I can't become me.

Haven't been myself for a while now
In my head
Can't complain cause I've been here

Haven't been yourself for a while now
In your head
Still complain cause you don't hear
Austin Jul 29
At that point in life
I don't have a will
But I do have suicide notes
For each person I love
Close enough.
Austin Apr 30
You left a note

Never heard your cries
You weren't singing
Never was a lullaby

You were bled dry
Ate completely alive
I never saw it

You left a note
