After the Dream
Alex Mystic Oct 2018
Within what is known as the greatest sleep,
there is a life lost in a massive labyrinth,
made up in a maze of crossroads and dead ends,
it all seems quite strange, where finally it leads?

Familiar faces and beautiful places,
some moments to spare, for truth or just dare,
repeating the cycles, the nature of Gaia,
a signpost that I’ve seen, a call from within.

On following a path, a dreamer who seeks,
vast treasures of wisdom and emotion receives,
with heightened clarity, the one truth he perceives,
a little by little, letting go of his hypnosis.

Emerging through darkness, the glory of light,
in cracking the shell, a promise of life,
becoming the infant, exploring the land,
if this is a dream, please don’t wake me up.

Whenever I am lost, I head to the start.
