There is burden on my creativity

Cos I think i'm too good not to blow up with it.

There is burden on my creativity

Trying to balance the pride not to overshadow the joy.

There is burden on my creativity

Cos I've made folks believe this is the way.

There is burden on my creativity

Sigh! I can't fight writer's block yet.

There is burden on my creativity

I've made some sacrifices and I'm set on going all out.

There is burden on my creativity

I think I need to start blazing trails.

There is burden on my creativity

Dad must reap his fruits of labour.

There is burden on my creativity

I can't get out and start searching for jobs, not with this talent.

There is burden on my creativity

It needs to touch people souls.

There is burden on my creativity

I want peeps to get wowed.

There is burden on my creativity

I must be able to do it a bit more easy.

There is burden on my creativity

How can I amass wealth?

My **** and kids must not sweat.

I've never had a crush but she got me.

Spruntly created, she is; what a gleam!

She didn't complicate things, gave me hope.

Imagination had gone far; 3 kids, wasn't that what we got?

I'm achieving one of my goals in life soon; offside, I was caught.

After 5 calls, a beep still not certain. Jeez, God!

Dreams getting crushed by a crush.

Haven't even wooed, allusive rejection.

The one who gave hope has taken back.

This time, supernumerary.

Same giver; same taker.

With the pen, we linger.
Our heart, we pored out.
Our feelings, the clearer.
Finding words; when we are, it's like a bout.

Very spiritual, ask the real ones.
Pain-free, when it's coming easily.
Pain-ful, the writer's block forms.
Sigh! Finding motivation for our gree.

Blissful, it's our hope.
Unsubdued, a talent that brets.
In a globe full of glope.
We've found our own trait.

Having fun with intelligence, we often let out.
Ideas, muchly underrated.
Flashed stuffs, the world's missing out.
Desole poets, I know I've understated.

Is this it?
What we struggled for with all might.
Something that we didn't cease and desist.
Cos of it, we couldn't shine so bright.
With the view that after attainment, we'll be bright like light.
To everyone, we're like a god. A new pride we couldn't resist.
Even though the strike caused a lot of doubt.
Months after friends were in, we were told to chill out.
We were finally in, we laughed last.
With shoulders so high, you would think we were louts.
At any attempt, they didn't fail to bluff. "We're the best."
Overcrowded classes: one of the challenges, we thought.
Challenges turned suffering. We couldn't bleat.
We were made to believe that to be successful, you gotta wilt.
Writing exams without water and light, schooling or imprisoning?
We struggled to come to higher institutons.
Just to get suspended for thinking.
Get arrained for fighting against oppression.
Get nabbed for freedom of speech.
Is this what we waited and struggled to get?
We read extensively but get grades according to mood.
You will get out and still not get job even if you're good.
Buddies, everything was a crook.
This is scamming at its best.

This is Nigeria

This is Nigeria; presidency turns sick leave.

This is Nigeria; one-sided democracy.

Double standard constitution, everything is dazy.

This is Nigeria; police bus be calling crowd.

Enter and become cowed.

This is Nigeria; best graduating student gets a thousand naira.

This is Nigeria; I hope we can differentiate between private and public institutions.

Lackadaisical attitudes everywhere, except religion institutions.

This is Nigeria; over a year strike in our foremost sector but it's  a norm.

Corruption; a living form.

This is Nigeria; education is dull.

This is Nigeria; economy problem is solved by increased school fees.

Such government still gets a second term. Madness; it's our liss.

This is Nigeria; lot of resources but we still pray for light.

Food, security and rights.

This is Nigeria; lecturers give grades anyhow.

This is Nigeria; Animal is swallowing money.

In a government with the main aim of fighting corruption, it's funny.

This is Nigeria; politicians changing parties.

Playing with our lives like they're *******.

Whoever you are, it's gonna be a must love.

I mean i chose you.

I wanted, that was why.

I wasn't coerced.

I had an option of stopping at by-relationship.

I decided to advance.

Cos I thought you're the must one.

So why shouldn't I give you the must love?

I didn't fake interest.

Unintended offspring didn't push me in.

So what is my excuse?

Since I chose who I thought deserved it

It's gonna be a  must love!

Where is the motivation?

Finished high school, we got thru it.

Wanted to be a colleger, fought for the best

The best here ain't even the worst there.

Got it! Wanted to revive it.

But voices got shut. Actions, restrained.

Every bit, stained.

Worst is an understatement. Corruption, immense

It's got up to animals getting a share.

Electricity is like a goal in fergie-time, rare here.

Got 99, battery saver turned on

Can't classify my fam as poor, still struggles to pay low bills.

Exams are fire, but we're readers.

Not reading the right things tho.

*** for marks? A normal thing

Illegality? It's legal here.

Nonsensitiveness? Get in here!

Did I ask "where is the motivation? "

Oops! Where are the necessities?
