Smiles are snares
Get caught in them often
The deception of care
Err them with caution

My brain is drenched in oil.
You are wrapped in silver foil.
I watch the spark ignite.
Gray matter burns bright.
My brain now mushy meat.
It makes you overheat.
You unwrap but guilt it lingers.
The lighter falls from your fingers.

I feel quite calm
When the breeze grabs my throat
On the water of life
My soul is afloat
Eye sockets sprout green
Flowers every hue and size
Not a hint of deceit
Not a trace of lies
Bugs start to crawl
Leaving every orifice
The small legs that patter
A kind gentle kiss
Ears house roots
Play simple songs
Vines curve on limbs
Pinching like tongs
Skin starts to crumble
To earth I return
Worms slither with ease
Sun sweetly burns
Amongst other experiences
There is nothing greater
Than the divinity of essence
Proclaiming nature as creator

the type of heat
that comes only from
biking
in the infinite rain
makes you want to
strip off all clothing
let the droplets freckle you
bathe you in their boundlessness
so that you too, can be infinite

I have stopped putting on music
To take myself away
From the ordinary bits of life
I accept their monotony
Roll around in it
For it is life too.

I have stopped putting on music
To escape the extraordinary brain
That accompanies the ordinary bits
I allow it to be strange
Relish in its oddity
For it is me too.

I start to get reckless
With my thoughts
Among other things

I dance in the kitchen
Alone
Hair in my mouth and eyes
Hands on my body
Breath in the air
Joints bending
Muscles frolicking
Soul in the music
Feelin free
Gettin reckless
Abby May 5
it seems
everything whole
and pure
my brain shatters
and taints
