They were outside time,
                                 her mouth was abstract,
                                                        What had been,
was now his experience of lipstick and salt,
                                                    Beyond the present,
                               they were strangers at last,
                                                     Her eyes fixed on his,
                                   the impersonal dropped away,
                                                     There was stillness.
Erasure Poem created from Atonement by Ian McEwan.

Is it today?
After Snow
After Rain
After waiting for the brave
Is it today?

Is it today?
As her life slowly bleeds,
All she can see is the trees,
Is it today?

Is it today?
With a frame of porcelain,
Frail and hungry,
Her dress too thin,
Is it today?

Is it today?
When the moon shines overhead,
And she nests in her torn bed,
Is it today?

Is it today?
Against the quiet of the world,
She recalls the words once said,
“Little Princess, wait and see.
For your hero will save thee.”
I used this for my university portfolio, first year.

What if I were a murderer
Would I **** my friends
To string them up and pull them apart
And never let the pain end
Would it be so terrible to act like I'm insane
Run around with a chainsaw as the daylights ends

What if I were a murderer
Who hated people in love
I'd rip their beating hearts out and leave them hand in hand
Would it be so terrible to go out for revenge
And seek out all those rapists just so I could hurt them
Hold them by their ankles above a boiling metal ***
Never letting them go even if they screamed stop or please

What if I were a murderer
Would the voices end
Perhaps if I were I'd never learn to feel or love again
I have no idea what happened, I guess I just got angst and bored

I have to see you every day at school
You don't care at all
I was safe and feeling secure
So fast it was taken now I am unsure
Red and Blue try to help
But all I want is to forget
Your stupidity and disgusting manner
Makes me wonder if your upbringing was any saner
I hope you have learned your lesson young one
For painful memories are for the stronger ones
Pretty much about something that happened to me.. I know it's pretty bad...oh well

Pain,  it’s there everyday

Hope,  something to fight the darkness

Fear,  what keeps my mouth shut

Happiness,  what makes me forget what I’m not

Loneliness,  a whisper that won’t shut up

Excitement,  when the rain starts to fall

Sorrow,  when I know what I’m not

Courage,  when I start to stand tall

Despair,  when a mountain is too tough

Trust,  those to help remove it

Betrayal,  a camouflage of lies

Peace,  the calm after the storm
