I am a college student at the University of Alabama, on the long and winding road to self-discovery. Last November, I went through a very rough patch in my life, and coped by beginning to write poetry. To this day, it is one of various ways in which I escape and set myself free. In poetry I can fly away and express my hardships, as well as my joys. Poetry is a neverending journey, one in which I never want to leave.
