Walking along the sea shore
Feeling tired after the daily chores
Beauty of sunset growing more
No one can simply ignore
By the gloomy sun a red carpet is spread
But happy to welcome the night instead
Calm and blue sea ready to sleep
Covering itself with a glittering sheet
Waiting for lullaby in a cool night
Sung by the silvery moonlight
Making me sad sometimes sunset sight

खिल उठे गुल रेगिस्तान में
बिखर गए सबज़ रंग गली मैदान में
ऊंट, खजूर और तेल की खदान
होगी क़भी यह इसकी पहचान
आज लिखी है दुनिया में इसने
तरक़्क़ी की अजब दास्तान
कितने मुल्कों के यहाँ बसे बाशिंदे
क़िस्मों के रंग रूप मज़हब और ज़ुबान
सजाए इसने ताज ए अमीरात में
चमके जो जगमग बन के हीरे
बना तफ़री और तिजारत का मरकज़
लगा रहता है सैलानियों का जमघट
साइयन्स, तकनीक , कला और तालीम
फलक से भी आगे होगी इसकी खोजबीन
समंदर में बसायी आलीशान बस्ती
आसमाँ को चूमती बुर्ज ख़लीफ़ा की हस्ती
कायदे - क़ानून , फ़रायज और हकूक़
सब के हैं बराबर , ना होती है चूक
पाबंदी,मुसतैदी,दूरंदेशी और ईमानदारी
क्या ख़ूब निभाती है हुक़ूमत ज़िम्मेदारी
रात दिन सड़कों पर रहती है रौनक़
है फ़िज़ा में तहुफ़्फ़ुज़ और राहत
मशरिक़ और मगरिब घुले मिले हैं
मुस्कानों के दिए जले हुए हैं
ईद , क्रिसमस , दिवाली और ओनम
गूंजती है सब त्योहारों की सरगम
दुनिया के नक़्शे में रौशन जिसका नाम
उस अरब अमीरात को हमारा सलाम

कभी यूँही ख़यालों में
बचपन की यादों के गलियारो में
करती हूँ जब भी मैं सफ़र
एक चेहरा आता है नज़र
वो जो पोशाक से ले कर पहनावे तक
तालीम से लेकर रखावे तक
रखता था हिसाब और ख़बर
बसता क्या ,किताबें क्या, क्या क़लम ,क्या कवर
स्कूल हो ,या क्लास ,या सीट हो किधर
रहती थी जिसको हर बात की फ़िकर
हाथ के जिसके सिले कपड़े, बुने स्वेटर
निकले जब भी हम घर से पहनकर
सवाल हर कोई करता आगे बढ़ कर
किसने सिला किसने बुना कौन कारीगर
बीमार हो तो दवाखाने का चक्कर
बाज़ारों में घूमना भरी दोपहर
गुज़र जाता है बचपन पलक झपक कर
रह जाता है मगर जहनों के सफ़ों पर
होते है सभी माँ बाप भाई बहन उसका हिस्सा
पर चेहरा वो है एक.........,,

हँसी रात तारों भरी
बादलों की ओट से झाँके चाँदनी मदभरी
यह नज़ारा कितना प्यारा
स्याह फलक में झिलमिलाता गलियारा
छुप जाएँगे तारे
फैलेगा जब सूरज का उजियारा
यह नज़ारा कितना प्यारा
चमकेगा जगमग जब यह जग सारा
सूरज की यह लाली शाम आयी मतवाली
पंछी परिंदो ने राह ली घरवाली
यह नज़ारा कितना प्यारा
थके जिस्मों को आशियाँ
का सहारा
हँसी रात तारों भरी
बादलों की ओट से झाँके चाँदनी मदभरी
यह नज़ारा कितना प्यारा

लगे रूयी के गोले
लगे बरफ के गोले
बादलो के टुकड़े
लगे कितने सजीले
दूधिया सा रंग
फैला सुंदर सा गगन
मन चाहे इनमें झूलूँ
लूँ मस्त हिंडोलें
जितनी हँसी ज़मीन
उतना यह आसमा
क्या बन सकता है
बादलों का बिछओना
छू के देखा नहीं है
हाथों से पकड़ा नहीं है
लिया पानी की बूँदों ने
नया रूप सलोना
ना जेबों में भरा जाए
ना तिजोरी में समाए
क़ुदरत का क़ीमती
यह अनमोल ख़ज़ाना
कभी ग़ुस्से से गरजे
कभी प्यार से बरसे
जड़े कर्ण कर्ण में
ज़िंदगी का नगीना
