A long time ago, a man named Michio,
Lived among the Momiji and Matsu.
Just living his life, with his son and his wife,
Always keeping in his pocket his nunchaku.
Michio possessed the strength of three men,
And everything he always sees.
But as the saying goes, even for Michio,
'Even monkeys fall from trees'.
Now Michio knew that his nunchaku,
Would keep him safe and sound.
Until one night he had quite a fright,
And jumped three feet off the ground.
This bold man shrunk from six foot to three,
And his stomach churned with fear.
His rough hands start sweating; he didn’t know what to do,
But he hoped his nunchaku was near.
Michio made a mistake and nothing could help,
There was nothing that he could see.
This brave great man became a monkey today,
And even he, fell from a tree.

"Boy were we wrong!  We're the oddball.  We're the freaks." --- Dr. Michio Kaku

We looked at trillions of those stars and knew,
that somewhere out there was another Planet Blue.
Those were not canals we saw on Mars;
optical illusions, lensed figment memoirs.

Stare into trillions, space mind overwhelms.
Rimbaud entrapped in countless ethereal realms.
Not the goal of evolution, merely happenstance,
the search for elsewhere leads a merry dance.

Planets a dime a dozen, yet no Goldilocks Zone
produces signals bearing SETI transient tones.
Birds more subtly impact our lives,
than do the aliens our universe provides.

I have never wrote about nothing
I've told my self to a million
two million times to date
to sit and write about nothing but
my mind proves magnetic
Sticking to the simple things
Romanticizing specs and sweeping monuments
because I write to find some solace
and normally
my greatest comfort is intellectual
spiritual stimulation
I like getting high and
watching TedTalks and Michio Kaku videos
about string theory and is there an eleventh dimension?
And I like to lay down still
And torture myself by letting my skin crawl
with untouched bug bites
with my eyes closed until my arms feel
detached and my chest is heavy and all of my flesh is static
For a while it is black and I hear the looping of
the rain and wind chimes of CenterPointe
And I like the meditation tapes but silence has its virtues
Ascension is always lighter and more arid
Languid in a way water can only ever mock
I think it might have something to do with
oxygen being ubiquitous in our atmosphere
or more so than h2o that is
but then again I really am no Bio major

Dimensional slippage
conceived from without
Length, width, and height
time squared thereabout

Spacetime endemic
on gravity’s spire
Black Holes ill rumored
supernova inspired

Fourth, fifth, and sixth
but then nobody’s sure
With logic’s deception
embraced more and more

The system it’s flawed
in both structure and form
Pulling you into
the physicist’s norm

Till that day you falter
and turn from it all
When the out becomes in
— and you answer the call
