All A Girl Really Wants
"All a man really wants, is a girl who looks good in a bikini." - Jack Freestone

All a girl wants is a man who looks amazing in a tiny suit
one that will make her heart race when he flexes his glutes
one who comes charging down the beach on a white horse
and swoops her in his big strong arms, without any force

All a girl wants is a good looking man with a **** strutt
with crazy thunder thighs and trunks that plunge n' cut
one that will place tanning lotion all over her warm body
and make her purr like a kitten after drinking hot toddy

All a girl wants is a swimsuit God who is named Bolt Upright
it has to fit him almost right,... but just a wee bit tight
one who can save her if she's about to drown at sea
and give her mouth to mouth on bended knee.

"All a girl really wants, is a man who looks good in a bikini" - Yummy !

The Apple Orchard
Zephyr winds, playing a symphony of love on my reddened cheeks.
Every strand of hair is a silk ribbon of fresh dancing in the breeze
This beautiful Countryside brings me to my knees, on this exceptional, wonderful month of September.
With the breeze in my hair and a saffron sun shining,
I sit in harmony with  rhythmic songs of Autumn.
Feeling the need to act like an adventurous child, I stop on the roadside to climb an old wooden fence.  The apple orchard tempts me to help myself,
so I do, biting into a juicy apple savoring it, for all its flavor.
I recall my grandmother well, in her small kitchen baking apple pies
as the scent of baked apple and brown sugar grazed my senses
I learned the meaning of, "Nature tells no lies"
It was a fruit explosion of Autumn delight, there to wet my appetite
A light wind carries me away once again, to grandfather's apple orchard
where his smile was as bright as the coral reefs in fall
oh I tell you, those Autumns were fantastic, back when I was
only five feet tall.

The Morning After
On the morning after
a bath of light is vortexed in the embers of last night
A spool unravels beneath
his fervent gaze, she has been happily loved

"LOVE WEAVES A MYSTERIOUS MAGIC SPELL"

that no earthly thought can ever undo
A thread of hope, diamond wishes, he's out of her league
still she dreams of wedding dresses and just one word,

Make A Wish
Its my birthday every day just because I awoke to see another day
a new breath an extra hour beneath my belt, I am God's living ray
Defying all odds I am still here stumping the experts with my drill
dancing in the sunlight like a dervish mendicant ascetic, no pills;
I remember being six and blowing out the candles on my frosty cake
mamma asked me sweetly to make a wish before the first snowflake
I wished to live forever so I could find the secret of a well lit firefly
and summer after summer I watched them as they lit up the sky
It is my birthday today, every hour succinct to the next I like it this way
twirling like a wild baton in a parade I bang my drum and I sing all day
A new breath an extra hour beneath my belt, I am God's special girl
a Mystic soul that refuses to lay down and die, while the stars unfurl
I'll lay on the freshly mowed lawn and watch the stars shine from on high,
while I recall mamma's birthday cake and the fireflies that once lit up the sky.

The Lord Of Love
I will not leave you comfortless says the Lord of LOVE
I will come to you child, like the soaring doves above
no stone shall brush your tender feet
no winds shall crush your finest wheat
I will not leave you faithless says the Lord of joy
I will come to you wearing the armor of LOVE
I will be your hero your noble one
I will be your one and only Son
I will not leave your mourning alone says the Lord of ease
I will come to you, like a bending tree on a summer breeze
no prayer shall go untold
no sheep shall leave its fold
I will not leave you comfortless says the Lord of LOVE
I will come to you, like the soaring doves above...

Grand Opal Views
Beseech me to  grand opal views, oh blessed moon
and take me to that place where  pearling light
resplendent of the sea, adorns my life's festoon
With just one shake of ray from you, my sight
will be as clear and peaceful as a gliding loon;
Draw me to you, "Oh Mother Goddess of light"
for when it comes to praising you inside this silent room
bathed in the hour of evening dusk, within my quiet ?
I drink you in like ***** smoke one puff and gone so soon
behind the curtains of these tired eyes, an ancient spoon.
Spilled and poured like silver across the ocean blue
I breathe the breath of you as if you were the sun,
for mirrored in my heart you scissor all on Holy cue
within the sacred womb of my female Deity
the fertile embrace of love and all its passion spew.
Beseech me to your silica I am your precious stone
sitting by the river rolling soft against the shore
some people are made of flesh and bone
while others annihilate inside your radiant more
take me to your beauty, then raise me off the floor.

Kinetics Of Summer
Oh to live in the pulse of the sun and feel blessed
and smell the sweet scent of a flower's in-chide
to inhale all the power of summer's attest
and exhale it towards God's ambrosial tide

To bathe in the peace of the stars during night
and flow with the light of the dawn like a kite;
To course through the heavens and never lose sight,
one must sound out the trumpet of summer's respite;

To dream by the oak and awake by the sea
when August has ripened and turned Jubilee
you must enter dominion of summer's delight
and live in the rapture of candescent light

Oh to live and to love one must first learn to kiss,
the kinetics of summer, with eternal bliss.

Oceans

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep my faith will stand
And I will call upon Your Name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Maybe All I Can Give You
Lyrics to a song I have created both music & word

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrXxh67VbVQ

Refrain: Maybe all I could give you is the song of my heart
maybe all I could give you, is my melody

In the mist of my loving I have bloomed you a rose
for those winters of hunger when everything froze
enclosed in this journey, of just you and I
this passion and kindness is willing to die

Refrain: Maybe all I could give you is the song of my heart
maybe all I could give you, is my melody

In the haze of my senses I have given you love
for the arms that have held me have brought me such light
at the edge of the stars we are diamonds of sky
this intimate moment is just like a sigh

Refrain: Maybe all I could give you is the song of my heart
maybe all I could give you, is this melody.

Brooding Nimbus
Quote by author: "Its as if an angel wept and left behind all the tears of heaven's sorrow"

The floodgates of my thoughts wide opened
and out came an outpouring of love and compassion
from the font of my wicker nebulous heart*
I saw him with my naked eye fighting for his life
struggling for re-entry into God's kingdom;
His mother cradled him softly in the softest enmesh of her
aching arms, over and over she repeated his name
like a sacred mantra.
He was born with a congenital heart defect
and wasn't expected to live over the age of one.
She walked him to the window and inside the sky
she saw a crepuscular light appear just before the sunrise
As the child was bathed in light two blue eyes opened
and a cupid mouth shaped an O, though nothing came out
but a deep deep sigh;
His chest heaved and with his eyes lifted to heaven
he was taken by a brooding nimbus cloud that appeared out of no where.
The rain began to fall gently from a heavy laden sky,
his soul saturated by love, climbed to heaven without even once having had the chance to ask God, Why?

In The Face Of Love
Quote by author: Touch the cornerstone of our memories
and there you shall discover the amulet of love
that I once gave to you and you to me.

In the face of love I find your heart and all you ever gave to me
the cherished days I held so dear the laughter of our youth
you
In the face of love my journey now complete is knitted
in the breaths we took together
we

In the face of love we conquered every hill
and every raging storm inside and out
us*
In the face of love no poem could describe our story,
nor  show the hourglass of our beautiful lifetime

You touched my soul and melted it with yours my love
heart to heart no separation can ever take away
the joined assembly of our precious, precious, love.

Bones Ache Yet Heart Sings
Once upon a time
when I was a child of three
looking at the stars
and whispering to the moon,
I sang me a song of love;
then the years went by
and I lost my girlish ways
forgetting the view
I saw, life became unclear
as dry bones began to ache.
Returning to love
I recalled the moon and stars
and the girl who sang;
When I was a child of nine,
yes, the world was truly mine
The whispering moon
was a big fat red balloon
that made my heart sing;
Though I always sang in tune,
life was over, way too soon.
May all the sonnets in the world compiled in beauty
lend themselves to your sweet eyes of gold
may every line of of penmanship speak to you of me
showing you that ardor, still untold

and when the moon comes out to serenade you darling
send me kisses from your balcony
and when the moonlight bathes the feather's of a starling
tinted dark as heaven's ebony,

bring me all your charms and play your castanets my love
rend each doubt and join me over there
where every wingeth bird soars up like a turtle dove
and plays you music oh so fair

may every sonnet ever written call you out by name,
may every poem ever uttered be your sweet proclaim.

Father Time
Father Time

As the evening turns to a whisper, the sky changes to the color of wine
and while the trees with their over-shadowed limbs hover by the path,
saving stars of heaven shine down,
as brilliant as the eyes of Father Time.
When the night delivers her last soprano key and her song is
heard forever in the halls of nature's memory,
every brook and every creature in the forest slows its pace.
While the moon reflects the sun and mirrors its own light,
the small hands of time move forwards, ever so slowly.
The sky evolving into an orchestra of music,
shows us an endless parade of sailboats passing by,
they glide then disappear, far into the night
leading us ever closer to the blessed light.

Baby Steps
When people talk about traveling to the past they worry about radically
changing the present by doing something small.  But rarely do they think about doing something small, to radically change the future.

Baby steps are important because they are much more achievable
then giant mountains or far away stars that cannot be touched
Short term goals are comforting to an individual
when the long term goal is still in progress, but out of reach
A sprint runner at a short distance race
has more powerful glutes, calves and quads to propel them forward
and gives them more time to build stamina, before the big marathon
Leave a tempting trail, activate cruise control, hold a hand
Wear comfy shoes and just start walking
When people think about the future, they think its already set
but it can be interchangeable, with one single step ahead.
Be progressive and advance onwards one baby step at a time
sooner than later your future will align,
and you will get there when, its your time to shine.

Praying For Better Days
When it comes to all my sorrows
what do I do with them
Do I place them in a paper cup
and pour them down the sink
Do I take a mallet to them
and pound them soft as mink
When it comes to all my tears
where do I bring them?
Do I bring them to the sea
to merge with salty smears
Do I offer up my wailings
to the God above?
When it comes to all my sadness
what can take them all away?
Do I grin and bear it with a grin
then walk away on feet of clay
or do I pray for better days,
hoping that ,He'll lead the way.

Laughing Angels
You can hear the echo of their laughter ringing through the halls of bliss
voices rippled soft as feathers, swiveling down on earth like this!
Airborne landings, joyful tickles, oh how innocent they are
in the cradle of God's Kingdom, always landing like a star.
Feel the rush of wind on your heart without rescind ,
as they flutter here and there doing as they please.
They are often slow to anger, jovial and complete,
and if you ever are in danger they can take a giant leap.
Sometimes, a wayward feather drops by unexpected time
perhaps it is your Angel saying, " its your time to shine !"
Sometimes, you can hear them giggle from Elysian fields of blue
where there are no storms or downpours, only heroes of the sun.
Sometimes, you can see their antics if your eyes are rinsed and pure,
you can be their brave crusader using laughter as the cure.
Voices rippled soft as feathers swiveling down on earth like this,
sometimes softer than a feather, arriving like a kiss.

The Visitor
With his long narrow beak he drank
drawing out nectar from a flower
it was an Eastern Red Columbine,
an Aquilegia wild desire ...

Nature was singing a sweet refrain
sending sunshine to my visitor
with wings spread he extracted,
using a tubular beak and tongue;

He was a welcome guest
inside this beautiful garden
From a latticed gazebo I espied
as he took delight, in every sip

Paradise Tonight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF23EtYwvMs

There lives a touch of the Divine inside my soul tonight
and as I surrender to its peaceful ways  I begin to awaken gently
I am a wayward soul in need of Godlike essence,
a Seraphic beauty that unties with every silent prayer.
My heart allows the inner flow of the Divine to intervene,
as scented thoughts penetrate and perfuse, I meet my Divine
muse;
In this quiet paradise for one I am connected to all beings
and all beings are connected to me, through love.
Tonight the incense shall burn inside this ancient kiln
"Yarim Tepe"... softening the edges of my emotions,
like a Divine emollient, and turning me to softer shadows;
The sound of inner peace shawling, I breathe
and as the soul meets the night, my dreams take flight
In this Divine journey of discovery, I am content
to co-exist, aside its beautiful liquid golden light.
Gentle as you are, you come uninvited but oh so quietly
as your floral scents permeate you arrive bipinnately
Invigorating every tree and garden full of parsley
with evening's refresh breezing in succinctly
With futuristic birth that winter could not borrow
you draw us in then gift us with tomorrow
Sprigs of blooming life grow inside your yarrows
insuring us with every shade of rainbow
Calendar favored you are the in between season
ear marked for a very good reason
renewed and refreshed you are a beacon
without treason
Gentle as you are Spring, you arrive just in time
like a rose, getting ready to consign.
Quote by: Rumi
(You are not a drop in the ocean but an entire ocean in one drop)
Beaten and whipped scoured and wrung like a dish cloth
am I
inside this night gown the sweat and grime of a lifetime
am I ?
Fish or woman master or slave of my own self
am I
good or bad demon or saint I don't really know who
I am
Then he sings to me a song I knew from my childhood
" The I Am "    song....
and suddenly, I'm fire, I'm host and all of the above
I am a child, hungry to eat his word and drink His love
I am His and He is mine
Together we are...
Free from the frigid grip of winter's blow
we enter a time of hay fevers and colds
Though April showers help the flowers grow
they can be unkind, to creaky bones of old

The frosty cheeks of children everywhere
are pinned against a ***** window pane
The pristine snow of white has lost its glare
replaced by icky puddles and wet terrain

Spring, ...its not all about roses and shine
there are days when it rains and pours all day
She weaves herself around winter's entwine
and often leaves the earth too damp for play

I rather be making snow angels in the snow
then waiting and watching, for flowers to grow

One Tiny Red Balloon
Over by the corner the bandstand plays on
next to the cotton candy wagon and the clown
Its a circus act full of people and acrobats
and tallish men on walking wooden stilts

One tiny red balloon dots the sky as I espy
juggling acts leading to the garden path
it ain't over until the fat lady sings
so I better not dally, I need a glass ring

Fire eaters and sweet ladies that stretch
ventriloquists with two sided mouths
magicians that stage with props, and coins
cats on tight ropes, hawkers and escapists

Silver hoops and fast delivery guys
life is changing right before our very eyes
Give me the candy but don't tell me lies
of course I want the red balloon, untie!

February Shivers
Billows of a winter snow blowing through my curtain window
all I sweet remember is the way the willow tree smelled
that creamy, sugary, wintergreen scent of its lovely mellow
and the way the sun tilted each time you looked at me...
Snowflakes falling from a heavy laden sky of marble
and though my heart is longing, it is full of your song
that slow jazz music made us drunk as we danced
beneath the sultry moon, like a a fork and spoon
February shivers, my how the winter defuses
all that is left is the scent of a warmth remembered
healing hands,  * secret pillow talks
You grew old I grew old, then we both stopped living
My how I recall those winter snaps,
two young lovers lost in the silk of life's entwine
I remember when our love was fresh and new
like the weeping willow, dressed to the nines
Ah !  But those were different times and now is now,
I am presently lost, ... in this winter pow.

Valentine notions of floral bouquets
sweet sweetened chocolates from Brigadeiro
velvet talks and smooth kisses without delay,
Cupid sure knows,  which way to shoot the arrow;
Darling cards that say I love you
better than a dream at heaven's door
bon bons, red balloons and blue
who could ask for anything more.
Beloved, dear, honey,sugar pie, precious
these saccharine words cling to the heart
like a magnet to the soul, love is gracious

Winter Kisses
Winter kisses blown from the whimsical side of my heart
as the snowflakes dance in the light of day, I dream
of castles in the sky and  angels all aglow in snow;
Feathered wishes as light as flakes
I love the way sunlight slants and shakes
the child in me is wide awake
Winter blessings sewn together on this January month
when the snowfall carpets the ground like a gown
the silence turns golden and my heart is light
Downy thoughts of wintertime
I hear the church bells chime
sounding so sublime
Winter spells of magic my eyes have seen the view
I love winter how about you ?

In All Of Our Tomorrows
When the sun arises in the morning above the pristine snow
and the stillness of the silence brings the panting deer ahead
When the heaven laden trees of winter slices heaven's glow
I know for sure that you will be there, in all of my tomorrows

When the train has bridged the miles across the forest glades
and the January snowflakes have swiveled through the air,
like a thousand glistening diamonds, I will  venture into safety
with the knowledge that you'll be there, in all of my tomorrows

When winter turns to spring and then to softer June
I will wait inside this garden where all the flowers bloom
with the fragrance of her damask you will know that I was there
and you'll be certain of my presence, in all of your tomorrows,

In all of our tomorrows, we'll be there.

THE CARDINAL & THE ROSE
Quote: Both the enchantress and the siren charmer
are part of the same one.

Fired red wings on the breath of a dawning
he lifts and soars towards life, a breath away
from sunrise, chittering before he takes swing
this cardinal of beauty knows how to sing

she a rose in a luscious garden of pure love
a blush of pink dotted with pistil and grace
a daylight sea of beauty sent from above
daybreak breaks and a flower opens her face

both the cardinal and the rose are essential
to our well being we need their reverence.
He a sign of longevity so reverential,
she a sign of love and courage in her essence

we find the Echantress in all of our selves
in his, we find a siren charmer who delves.

Beyond Reach
Adrift her world no obstacles no dreams to moor, immobilized and still
she sailed through stardust particles then glode into the nil
Into the fire of night she tousled through, by daylight saving time a strew
a scattering of stars appeared leading her inside a flower garden made for two;
The scent of Angel trumpets, gardenias, evening primrose
blended with a fragrant voice, she simply had no choice
as she pressed her little hand against the lunar soil's embroil,
foam flowers, chocolate daisies, and Liliums appeared;
A shift, then suddenly beyond the reach of earth a blessed gift of lift
she flew inside that dwelling place where benevolent souls ignite;
Fawning love plush against the evening breeze
even stars of night choose their light protease
when a small child enters an evening Kingdom,
like a Grandiflorus cactus, falling backwards into time...

To Where You Are
A Quote: Those who think there is a time limit to grief,
have never lost a piece of their heart.
**
If I could clip a wing upon my thoughts
or pluck a rose from my heart for you
if I could rocket up like an astronaut
then I know that I would never, be blue

If I could turn into a lantern bright
or be the sun that rises every day
if I could reach you in that place of light
I know that in my heart, you'd always stay

If I could stop the world from turning blue
or pluck a tinsel from our family tree
if I could love you better after you
have gone to be with God, then I'd be free

But since I had to live on memories this year,
the only thing I pray for is strength, from my lips to God's ear.
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the night
Santa and reindeer flew into the light
not a gift went amiss not a sound did he make
as he slid down the chimney and arose with a quake

with sifoned soft whistles and gregarious tee hees
he placed down the gifts just before the big flee
too late for retrieval soon he was caught
by a little wee tot who abandoned his cot

May I call you Kriss Krinkle he said with a lisp
made you some cookies, bit burnt, but their crisp
soon they were wrapped and then tucked in His sack
alongside the toys, they went clickety clack

Oh crumbs I must go, Mrs C wants me home
she covers them good with some chocolate arome
no worries my lad, next year burn some more
my reindeer love burntys, cuz it helps when they snore !

A Special Christmas
What would happen if you embraced the possibility that the God of the Bible really did create the world and really does care for you?

Allow me to be a child again even if only in my mind
for only in your love's contain did that first Christmas truly find
a child afresh to You consigned.
Inside my heart I'll place each hope like a fresh poinsettia in the snow
in that wintergarden of love's lope each bauble will be hung with glow
right above Your sweet Halo.
May I be privy to your birth like Mary was that blessed day
Twas' only You she could unearth inside that lowly stable's ray

You are the light of Christmas law the one that clears the world of hate
and opens up the Trojan gates.

She
She
"Poetry is a life-cherishing force. For poems are not words, after all, but fires for the cold, ropes let down to the lost, something as necessary as bread in the pockets of the hungry."  Mary Oliver

She became a leaf on a tree, a speck of dust, a limb still attached
shining like the sun she was the light that splayed upon nature's hour
but when the shadows came, she wrote her thoughts on a binder,
and became an evening cornflower.
Hungering by the river's edge she kept her secrets inside her diary
as she glided with imaginative desire on a silver lake of dreams
A permanent work of art inked and set aside, her words
a filament of nature's calligraphy.
Every pocket of earth described every fern and mushroom narrated,
by the apex of her linguistic, morphemes.
As the hourglass of time sifted finely down her filtered mind,
sweet poetry was born, germinated and seeded.
Life grows naturedly so does poetry when the heart is opened
she became part of the all-inclusive in this sweet haven,
where the everything and the always can only be described,
by a writer's pen and pluck.

The Poems I Never Wrote
I had my eye on him since the third grade, but I never told him how I felt
Back then girls were girls, they were never meant to be cheeky or bold
He sat behind me in math class, while he counted numbers on the board
I counted the beats of my heart each time he leaned in to ahum, cheat,

"I love the way your hair smells like rain"
he'd half whispered into his copybook
As he copied another math answer
he sent me thoughts laced with love

I was just a beginner with no flowery words or poems for Carlton cards
dad always said a good girl should be sensible and be good at accounts
As my daydreams accumulated like daisies on a windblown field of gold
I began to scrawl his name with a HB pencil, on my composition book...

"I love the way you smart me over "
he whispered a little octave higher
as he gleamed and then tried on his own
the intricate equation of math's design

I grew up and left to live in Nevada.  For years I never set eyes on Enzo again
then one day I happened to open a magazine and there he was all grown up
He had become a bank tycoon with a boat and a car and a big orphan house
So, I wrote him a letter and inside I added the first poem I ever wrote.

"I love it when you lean over my shoulder "
for some reason that I cannot phantom,
I get visions of you and me it a vat of grapes
If you did not exist, I'm sure I'd make you up

as for the poems I never wrote, well, after all our years together,
when I look into his deep blue eyes, I know he knows each one by heart...

My Life
Quote: I don't want a perfect life I want a happy life

Children tumbling out of bed
coffee dripping from my old faded percolator
Stockings hanging from the shower curtain
mother's laughter from across the miles
Husband's wet kisses and the shuffle of feet
scraped toast, slamming front doors
The smell of mulched leaves
the way the sun slants over my kitchen window
I don't want a perfect life, just a happy one
Empty cafes and smokescreen writes
pulp fiction and doggie smiles and treats
eggs over easy and difficult puzzles to solve
hugs and kisses and fun between the sheets
tea for two, I love Lucy, and more dreams
then I can ever dream, just a happy life,
nothign more...

Forest Of Dreams
I hear the echoes of yesterday's callings
like a soft longing from a long ago ghost
The emerald forest of my youth re-appears
at the sight of a midnight cadence;
Mystical night dreams reiterate
like an incantation from long ago,
Forgotten Sepulchers...
Tunnels of earth wind and fire burn my desire
once again, as I perch onto the matrix of solid bark
the silence is almost deafening'
I hear the fairies call with their gentry of good will,
"we guiders of soul have come to take you home"
and as I walk through their fragrant gate,
I know from my heart of hearts, that I belong here
In their forest of dreams .

Paper Airplanes
September hues of school day smiles and bran new leather bags
creative minds as young as baby figs with eager hearts of lore
My days were full with mischief makers and bragging scalawags
but as the evening fell it was dad and I and paper planes galore

Lined creased papers pressed against father's smoky fingers strong
a wide tooth grin that said it all, while folding them in Ludwig style
Symmetrical wings shaped at the edge to fly through standby throng
inside a backyard airfield 16x24, .. we launched then bridged a mile

One was  shaped like a prayer mantis one was fashioned like a jet
homework waited as we glided through a glide-path then a runway
Aerobatic landings that were much more thrilling, then a Lego set
oh the wanders of those days when we both knew, how to play.

this hungry heart is wanting more
I dip inside a memory like an old romance

Dancing dreams of lovers flickering so bright
a pacification of senses, I am bathed in your light
there beyond the afterlife a glimpse, a shooting star
I would love to meet you once again but you live way to far.

Listening Is Loving
On the brush of morning a wisp of air
a tendril round my senses, like sweet perfume
Liquid skies that move with the waves
of a soft whispering wind
Calling the birds of the air, calling butterflies;
Each jostled thought calms as my remote lips
cup and my eyes feast on a clear view
of one Godly, beautiful day*

Special calls from ancient pine trees with arms
loaded with pinecones and sentinel scents
My oh my, how I love the early morning
with all its aerate lawns and flower beds

First glance, first kiss, first contact
nature is cupping her velvet ear and
listening to me, truly listening;

As I gulp each morsel of peace it imparts,
I know without doubt that have been
truly love, this very morning.

I want to write about skies so blue that every square of heaven sighs
I want to pen about flowers and trees and little scurrying rabbits too
Down in the meadows I will lay my head and invent stories for you
Poem after poem sharing dreams and hopes while scrying the skies

I want you to imagine the flavor of my peach by the noon day sun
I want to share the incensed room of my aspire when dusk is done
Up on the hills where the emerald grass glistens with fulgent dew
while the epigraphs of my mental etchings sit here waiting for you

I want you to be you  and I want me to be me so we can both be free
to share our joys and pains and know that we are human, equally
I want to write about a sky so blue, that every square of heaven sighs
poem after poem I will write about everything that grows and flies.

Threefold Flame Of Christ
The Trinity within us is the seed of eternal life.  It is God's presence in our souls
that is both manifested here on earth and also present when we reshape at heaven's door
Orbs of beauty grace enhanced
threefold flames of love entranced
enraptured by His light we, lanced
follow Him blindly in a path that has been marked on the day of our precious birth;
Blessed is the fire that burns deep within our soul .  It is the flame of the human spirit touched into being by the mysteries of life. It is the fire of reason, the fire of compassion, the fire of community,
the fire of justice, the fire of faith.   It is the fire of love burning deep in the human heart that exists with Divine Glow inside every human life.
Threefold flame of the heart
from God we will never be apart
He is our Holy counterpart

A Momentary Presence
In your presence I am but a sparkle in the sand a breath of Angel dust
In your presence I am the sun's companion and the moon's best friend
In your presence I seek only light and the path that leads me home
In your momentary presence, ... I just am
In your presence I am love and only love, both young and old
In your presence I become the flower that thirsts for Holy Water
In your presence I diminish and you appear I am never left alone
In your momentary presence, ...I am there
In your presence all my worries turn to ashes as I pray
In your presence I watch the gentle changing of the guards
In your presence the ebon of the night turns into light
In your presence I can truly see the path that leads me home
In this momentary presence of respite, there is always you.

An Observation
Silk and light double glades of beauty on a wire of thin
I cannot help but wonder how long it took him to spin
this singular string of intricate structure, this web

Early morning sips , the air brushes my rousing cheek
as the sun yawns out I observe softly, but do not speak
this natural fibre of ancient wisdom still hasn't ebbed

its incandescent firey blaze is a mirage a shaft of light
the remnant of a spider still attached from yester night
this arachnid wanderer of dawn by morning's celeb,

has captured my imagination and my inquisitive mind
this creature of weave has me, vaguely entwined...

By Evening Glow
Quite often I pick up my quill
and sit on my favorite seat
Although each writer knows the drill
not every author/muse do meet
sometimes she sleeps,
at bard's ensweep

Repeatedly  the sun meets plume
with just one gaze she's all aglow;
Catching the scent of her perfume
I scribe away by evening glow
but when she's here,
she's oh,... so dear !

The Last Mile
If I had wings the size of helicopter blades
I would circle the world over and look for you
If I owned bulbous sheen o'er Irish glades
tinged in bronze I would enhance, accrue
the worldly space of you, for I love you

If I were paper or some origami glue
I would enfold your secrets inside my heart
If I were a harbinger of love an Angel of hue
a Carvaggio masterpiece of light and dark
I wouldn't need to travel far to be with you

If I knew the waltz I could dance to your music
I would leave behind my celestial lair
If I knew you needed me, I would be quick
I'd turn back the time and fly through the air
land at your side because I do care

I'd circle the world for the ripple effect of  your smile,
then enter your soul, just to bridge the last mile.

Those Were The Days
I close my eyes and recall yesterdays beautiful summers
barbecues from charcoal bricks and slow basted meats
aromas that lingered long after the first sizzle of rare
Mother arriving with a platter of raw hotdogs and steaks
dad fanning the fire with an old tin top.   Fumigated waves
of thick gray smoke filling the air, we waited hungerly  .
Later stuffed as little piglets we would gather round
the wooden picnic table, and tell stories and jokes.
The sun would slowly begin to descend and the air
would gently cool. We'd all go inside for hot tea
and a little T.V. sitcom.
How I miss the old days, wish I could bring back
even for just one day,. so I could smell the barbecue
and drink mother's sugary strawberry Koolaid,
one more time.
